They definitely should.

I reckon at least 10 teams would be in for Maxx.

I keep hearing the Rams are, be interesting to see if we re sign Young, if we do then no way are we after Maxx, but if we let him walk I'd assume we are looking at him.

I think you and us would definitely be teams into him. Sure wouldn't mind seeing him on the G!

I'm interested to see what will happen with your Safety Kam Curl. He really impressed me in these playoffs and I'd love someone like him with a bit of physical nature who can jam up to the line.

I really hope he does t end up in the NFC west unless it is with us.

Same here.

Prob find out in the next month if he is going to leave

I just realised I said I wouldn't mind seeing him play on the G and then said I'd rather he stay out of the NFC West if it's not us.

The production team screwed up on that one.

Rams get a all pro CB!

Rams going all in!

Huge get. Heard the Giants were in for him but they need to hold onto their picks more than you guys.

Chiefs get a reasonable return considering he's an impending free agent. Need to nail these picks but I think they can get by without some all pros on defense as long as Spagnolo is there.

Having said that all pro CBs don't generally come cheap anyway. Very good business by LA.

Yeah I'm happy, we still keep pick 13 so thats awesome, top3-5 CB in the league and only 25, we need to go all in next season, maybe the one after as Stafford has 1, maybe 2 years left.

Rams sign another CB in Jaylen Watson who is a bigger more physical CB and then an hour later Niners sign Mike Evans and Watson will be very helpful for those two+ games a year 😄

Crosby is a Raven. For a 26 and 27 first rounder… that’s a good get.

Huge get.

I can see him having a defensive player of the year season on the Ravens.

Also Rashan Gary to the Cowboys?

Been some good signings across the league, Evans deal is $42m over 3 years with incentives which iirc can get to $60m

Very happy with it. Kind of surprised it only took that much to get him out of there.

Me too! Rams just signed a long snapper so hopefully this will help our poor special teams. I reckon we draft a QB and WR as our first two pick this year.

I'd much rather be drafting for a backup QB than a franchise QB in this draft. Just doesn't seem to be a lot of wow factor in this class.

We keep getting linked with that guy who played 15 games, but who knows.

Mendoza and Simpson are the only ones who played 15 I think.

And that's part of the problem, if it's not a lack of starting experience it's guys with reasonable arms under 6 foot or a bunch of guys who were injured this year.

Simpson! That was it, couldn’t think of his name. TBH I understand of life after Stafford, but we have garropolo as a back up and if we are going all in, it’s better using pick 13 on a player for this season, not a sitting QB.

I'd be doing it that way. Build depth in other positions for now, I can see a lot of teams being disappointed drafting QBs in the first round this season.

But then again we're just fans who don't know anything.

Mate! I'm a super armchair critic! I KNOW EVERYTHING!!!!! 😁😄🤣

But I'll be interested to see how the Rams approach this, seems Jimmy G might be leaving too which would change everything.

Daniel Jones might be available 😜

Doubs to NE on a 4 year $80m deal.

This just in..

Kenneth Walker III agrees to KC move. 3 years up to $45m, 28.7m guaranteed.

Big splash from the Chiefs.

Yeah thats a great get by KC, Mahomes will take time to get back to his best and if he doesnt have to lead their rushing like he normally does would help them, Also weakens seattle which I like.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
