Melbourne Tattoos

I'm really keen on getting a tattoo which resembles the Dee's in some way on my back shoulder and was wondering if anyone else has any Melbourne tattoos they could put up. I'm thinking of http://www.sporttalk.com.au/images/afl-melbourne-demons-casey-fields.jpg without the words, or with just the M. Any thoughts?

Cheers

Judging by the name you've chosen for yourself on this forum, I'd be concerned about getting something as permanent as a tattoo...

I will be getting the new emblem done when we win a flag. At this risk of being sexist, it (the emblem) wouldn't be a great look on a female, would be more suited to a guy.

For a female, I think the "M" of that logo would look good on side of a shoulder or on the back of the neck. That's my personal opinion, hope it helps!

Not a female, simply have the name Jurrahcane Katrina as a play on words for Hurricane Katrina...And E25 what's that supposed to mean?

I don't think he likes tats - can't say I do either

I decided to have a Demon tattoo placed on my left bicep back in 2006. The tattooist copied it from a MFC Demon flag and after 2 hours of some pain she said it was the best one she'd ever done. The owner of the shop was a Bumber's fan and even he liked it.I'll definately get our new emblem tattood when we win our next Premiership. Go Dees.

I was thinking of actually getting in cursive writing across my left pec

"My heart beats true"

Not only you can say its for your footy team when your mates question it, but it could always mean anything in the world when the ladies ask ;):P

In 1998 I got that one on my left arm without the MELBOURNEfc. Only I got a Blue demon face and Red M with a blue outline.

I quite like good tatts, but they are few and far between.

I'd say if you exhibit the same judgement you used to select "jurrahcane katrina", then I fear the end result will be one that evokes chagrin in all that see it.

Sorry, just an honest appraisal, seeing as you'll have this permanently inked on your skin.

i'm getting a 3/4 sleeve with the 1928 MFC letters incorporated in it.

Tacky... Show your passion by donating the equivilient cost of the Tattoo to the club, or by purchasing a 2nd membership...

BTW - I am not anti-tattoo's, but the thought of any AFL associated tatt congers up images of that Filth supporter with them all over his body.

Also more acceptable if you actually play the game....

I've been a Melbourne supporter and member all my life. Living in WA, thought about getting the tattoo for a few years now so i'd say i'm committed. My log in name has nothing to do with this issue whatso ever and the fact you relate it to this shows how quick you are to pass judgement with no information on my relationship with the club.

And PhilReadFury i do donate to the club, reguarly, i don't have any tattoos and this would be hidden unless i was at home or the beach. How many filth lawyers do you know?

My point was establishing a difference between myself (a lawyer) and the filth (lower class and homeless)

I've got the heritage MFC on the inside of my wrist!? I wanted something that was traditional and not a logo that would out-date or change etc.

Hoping to add a premiership year underneath it very soon.

Pretty sure I saw a Pre-Grand Final joke on just this subject...

"A Lawyer and a Collingwood supporter race each other in a drag race - Just after crossing the finish line, they both loose control of their vehicles, spin off a cliff, and plummet to the rocks below... Who wins???

ANSWER: Society."

That's a moderation of a common lawyer joke... but i don't mind, i'm laughing in Peppermint Grove...

Few and far between?

Trust that you have only taken interest in the Clokes average body art!

Tacky in your opinion. No more or less acceptable if you play the game, you discuss the game, right?

I take it you have never divulged your MFC passion into anything other than donations or memberships then?

No, but there are a hell of a lot of bad tatts out there.

Very few that I actually quite like.

But I have refined taste by nature of my profession (read: snobbery).

I did say "if you exhibit the same judgement you used to select 'jurrahcane katrina'..."

Pretty clear that I think the name is absolutely cringeworthy, and if you use the same judgement so will your tattoo be.

I suggest you put more thought into the tattoo.

It's pretty clear i don't give a toss about your opinion or suggestions...and there's no need to talk down me. The post was created to see what those with Melbourne tattoos thought of the design and to see what they have. Why do you need to include your negative opinion? Why would i care if you like tattoo's or not. There is no need to comment on every post if it doesn't relate to you...get over yourself.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.
