What have people heard? Who are we interested in?

Yeah...because Dawes is such an underwhelming prospect...

I think my sarcasm meter is broken.

A sarcasm meter?!

Oh, that's a real useful invention...

So now that Hale's gone are we pulling up stumps on trade week?

If something comes on the market that we need we will buy it if the price is right.

If it is cheap but we don't need it we won't buy it cos it's cheap.

It's how it should be.

There are some big strong boys in this years draft.

I am willing to chop my boy bits off if Petterd is traded.

Could we sneak a 2nd round Pick from either Richmond or Essendon for Maric?

or

Justin Westoff or Jackson Trengove from Port? Both can play from the goal square and ruck temp.

Three way deal.

Walker to Port.

Warnock to Carlton.

Westoff to Melbourne.

The 3 W's!

Exchange of draft picks may also be necessary!

I think Trengove may be too expensive... I would throw his name up though.

And a late pick for Daniel Currie (Sydney)!

Thoughts?

Interesting, but of the 2, I think I'd go for Jackson Trengove. I reckon he might have a bit more go in him. And also I reckon he might put on size more readily.

Can you imagine the logistical headaches?

"Trengove, you're on the wing. Trengove, in the guts. No, not you Jack, Jack is in the guts...."

Jack Anthony set to join the Swans for a 2nd round pick

Not hearing much else

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
