Round 15 Rising Star

Jack Redden from the Brisbane Lions got the nod this week.

From memory we were very very keen on him but Brisbane took him just before our pick...

I would of thought McKenzie may have got the nod this week for his consistent form or Watts for his improved form? Still 7 round to go I guess.

Or Ricky Henderson from Adelaide? Hard to overlook 22 touches and 3 goals in a winning side

Henderson should have got it for sure. Doesn't matter - its between Trengove, Scully and Hannebery anyway!

Yep Henderson should have got it.

Jordie has been great but i don't think he will be on their radar as their is still a few more young players in the league with bigger profiles who haven't yet been nominated.

Trengove will give it a fair shove if he finished off the year well.

I feel though that at the moment they still favour Hannebery.

I was talking to Gary March from Richmond and he said the only reason Nason wont get nominated is because the "NAB" rising star tend to only look after their own, those that come through the "NAB" AFL draft. That is probably the same reason why Jordie wont get it. Its a shame because he is and will be a great player for the club.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
