Critical NAB Match

Only if it's in the octagon.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm getting the keys to my new house tomorrow.

Far too much on the schedule already, I'm afraid.

Where are you- Octogon??

I might have been wrong when I said the match against Freo was critical re membership to get to 31000 it might have been real advantageous if we played well. However it will be critical if we blasted by a half a side in Adelaide and nearly suicidal if we got wacked at Casey the following week--Do you agree??

Wack away. What matters is the development of the young players over the next 2 years. Results will be mixed. Stop worrying about these things outside your control. Buy yourself a second, even third membership, sign up your family and look forward to better footy in the years ahead. We'll easily reach 31,000 members, the season hasn't even started yet.

Gee I think you have actually got on a winner at long last- Wack away-I think we as a club have been doing this since 1964.However Jimma will not hear of this anymore. However I think we would like one or two in the club that will WACK AWAY. Miller and Sylvia would if allowed. And any club needs players like them with younger ones around.

As for me I can assure you- I will always WACK AWAY-may even change my ID to Wack away.I hope you are one whom does as one says.

I can assure you I have done so--what about you??

And by the way Jimma wants 30000 before season starts- so you better buy 100.

Get somethings right will ya.

I haven't bought my membership yet. I rarely buy them before round 1. When I do I buy one for me, one for each of my kids and one for my lady. Oh, and a couple of Heartland memberships if they are still on offer. Then I put them in a draw and head off to the MCC members.

Glad you have given up- too much to carry.Have a great day -we will come good -just we all have to be patient as Jimma says.

Enough guys, give it a rest.

Fair point.

We are officially playing at casey tomorrow week against geelong (or st. Kilda should they lose to freo) this game is surely critical is looking to gather members from this area.

Surely for us particularly its critical we win at least one pre season match.

Please, please, please stop calling every tiny, little thing that happens on a day-to-day basis ~CRITICAL~

I promise you that even if we fail to score and lose by 200 points in a practice match at Casey or indeed inflict a world-record beating on a full-strength Geelong it will create nothing more than a blip at either end of the scale and the sun will rise the next morning and business will carry on as usual and our short, medium and long term futures will be almost entirely unaffected.

The one and only difference is that the bored, hysterical people who carry on like pork chops about every little thing will call someone at the Club who has vastly better things to do and waste their time shrieking about their baseless concerns.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
