8:30 EST start v Freo

Meh, the Freo doctor is in by mid-afternoon and the temp drops significantly..

EG: Was 34 here in perth today. Its now 3.30pm and its a perfect 29 outside.. the doctor is in!

Still gets to mid 30s in april.. may sometimes.

Again, 99% of the time Perth has a beautiful natural air-con switch on about mid afternoon.

IMO It'd take more/as much out of you physically, playing in the stuffy melbourne humidity.

Humidity??? Ever lived in Far North Queensland? Trust me, it`s not humid in Melbourne!

Anyway, back to the footy...

Putting the kids issue aside, why is 8:30 considered prime time TV, but when footy is televised at this time it's terrible?

Sure, I don't want to go to the footy at 8:30 on a Sunday night, but televised from WA it's actually a rather convenient time and a great way to end the weekend.

I think its relevant because of the length of a game - the 2nd half (more importantly, the moments in which the result of the game is decided) needs to be close enough to that 8:30pm timeslot.

Yeah its ridiculous up there! Got rellys in Cairns..

Melbournes cloudy summers are still pretty bad compared to Perth beautiful dry heat..

Does anyone have any good suggestions for watching the game in Sydney? perhaps around the Rose Bay/Bondi area? i'm up here with a friend but her foxtel doesn't include fox sports!
