Rollo, any idea yet on approx times for these matches, taking in to account the early start to Visy Park contest???

Will we have enough numbers??, I hear a few of them have volunteered to play in the Demons forward line against Essendon at Visy....

Can anybody help with best option to park (cheapest option)...

hey, DR, how goes the raising of extra numbers so we can loan players to the other teams ??

I have tried all parking options over the years, and the best is the car park in swan street...

I know it costs money, but sunday rates are not too bad, and there is always room, and you don't have to drive for ages looking for a park, and you have better security for your wheels...

They are a slack lot over there, Only wise guy sam is available at this stage (he was an early nomination) to play for the demons (not the opposition).... I will keep on their case... maybe our coaching staff can fill a couple of spots????

well, here is an emotional moment or two...

posters from demonology make up about a third of our numbers on sunday, but shamed by the lack of support for these games on demonology, they have asked me to downplay the demonology effort and I acknowledge the message...

rollo2 is the only one of my sons ever to play footy (the other 3 only played soccer), but plagued as he was by knee injuries as a junior, I feel a bit afraid for more knee problems on sunday, followed by the wrath of mrs rollo, still he wants to play for the jumper just once and who can deny any of us that request ??

Greetings Demonland

Really looking forward to Sunday.

It looks like I'll be representing Bigfooty all by my self.

This is my 1st year of forum footy (and my 1st game in a long time) so I was wondering what the uniform will consist of. I have my lovely red and blue Jumper, boots ($29 from k-mart, pro) and I’ll grab a new mouthguard on Friday. Do I need specific colours for my socks and shorts? Is their anything else I need to know?

Thanks

Wise Guy Sam

Gosch's Paddock...

Melway map reference 2G E10...

TRAIN... to richmond station, walk south down punt road (city side). Walk past the collingwood training ground. If you come to boulton parade, you have gone too far...

CAR... free parking may be available at the punt road oval. If not, you can try the richmond side streets south of swan street, but I prefer the commercial car park in swan street...

WEATHER... extended forecast says 23 degrees, morning showers and thunderstorms . The operative word is "showers", so footy boots are a must ...

people, it's melbourne so bring water AND suncreen !!!

helpers... we have never had enough additional water, so don't slack off on your commitments...

please bring additional jumpers (if you have them} for players without...

AFTER MATCH DRINKS... cricketers arms hotel, punt road, was closed last time, so follow the crowd...

see you sunday at 10am or thereabouts...

10.30am pies v dees

11.20am dons v tigers (extra players from other sites allowed on schoolyard pick)

12.10pm losers play

1pm winners play

2pm clean-up and pub time...

regards,

rollo

welcome back imtoohot and legend...

a couple of blasts from the past - we've got a fair few players who have never played with the legendary imtoohot, so we better introduce you guys to the playing group before the first game, and explain that they don't need to lead if imtoohot gets the ball, and they shouldn't get angry if imtoohot disposses them because he was the better option... :)

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
