Heraldsun : Cale Morton : Demons have run out of excuses

There seems to be a few stories around with Cale as the spokesman and he seems to handle them well. It's good to see that a young, talented kid has a such a good head on his (skinny) shoulders that the club has the faith in him to let him say his piece. Maybe he is being earmarked for bigger and better things at the MFC.

Got to love Cale.

Cute how is family has moved from Perth and plan on fattening him up!

I totally agree Cale, Next year the Spotlight moves to us, no more excuses. Good to hear that the players are proactive on this point.

With that attitude throughout the Club in October Position 8 is not out of the question in 2010.

Great to see more players who aren't generally in the public eye getting their two cents in print, and doing a good job of it too!

Will do him a world of good when he starts ripping it up in a couple of years time.

.... pity about the weights though!

He lsts Cameron Bruce and Brad Green as his best mates at the club as well whihc maybe shows that he is quite mature. Good that Bruce is mentoring him as Bruce also doesn't ahve the biggest frame

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
