Gold Coast Stealing Players

I've got two questions that I'd like someone to answer for me.

The first being pretty simple. Has the 2010 AFL fixture been realsed? If so where can I find it? If not, when will it be published!

Secondly, a question regarding the new Gold Coast team. Me and a friend were having an argument over there recruiting abilities, what does "having access to one uncontracted player", actually mean he seems to think that its means they have the ability to sign a player even against there own will if they are uncontracted at the end of 2010 and they have to go to the Gold Coast, I didnt believe him.

Can someone please clarify. Cheers Sticks

Has not been released. Read due date but can't recall.

Ed: Believe your friend is essentially correct

But any players that want to stay and the club doesn't want to lose, just sign an extension before the season and their contract finishes, making the problem go away. Simple really.

Those that you'd welcome being taken from the list you have coming out of contract. Hopefully they get taken off your hands... Newton, Bell, PJ...

They can't be signed against the players will.... Essential if a player is out of contract and agrees to move to the gold coast then they don't have to trade with a club they can just sign them and the AFL decided what they are worth

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
