The Tom Scully thread

How has rspca managed to get you to take the [censored] out of yourself ?

It's a joke but stick it to the rat instead.

Self-deprecating humour. Much in his style.

Doesn't concern me at all, he's just entertaining himself, myself and others.

Its only a bloody internet forum; why take it so seriously?

Mind you, his strike rate overall might not be so crash hot, but over the last few weeks he has to be almost heading the leaderboard...

Taking the [censored] out of yourself will only bore him. Have a crack, it makes it more fun.

Don't play the 'why take it so seriously' card.

Say's you anyway!! You send people emails when they have a go at you.

I have been on early morning shift all week, so don't go hard on me pal. ;)

The misses must be rashioning him, so he's taking his frustration out on here as of late.

Nah, it wasn't that you were having a go, I was just majorly confused!

Couldn't figure out what the hell anyone was talking about, hence the PM.

Its in the past, quit living in the past...

I'll have a crack at him if the opportunity presents itself, but for now I best be concentrating on other things........................

What the hell was the topic?

Oh, Tom Scully.

Good player.

Anyone else?

That's the excuse HT used.

Before the....unpleasantness...

Now, we all have to pitch in to have his groceries home delivered as he is too big to get off his bed and away from his lap top.

We tried taking his computer away but he just starts knashing his teeth at us jiggling his body fat up and down so heavily that his whole house shook.

Scary stuff.

And you wonder why 45HG16 always pulls me up on having a go at Freak?

Well, Freak was sat on that day. Well, 'rolled over' on, at least.

Really does explain a lot though...

Speechless.

What has become of this thread ? rpfc is this your doing again ?

Here we have the Tom Scully thread, an elite player about to join our ranks, and you've shat all over it. Have some respect. ;)

Perhaps a quick suggestion before we "move on", if you have any more side splitting  material that makes you laugh, put it in a neat little thread in general discussion, or better still post it to the "guy" you rolled over on in a PM edition. :D

Or don't..

Either or Either.

PS. No need to pitch in for groceries. Rather you send all funds to Debt Demolition. It will keep me fit anyway...

Will probably be alright.

Darren Kowal reincarnate.

Kowal ? Hope you're not putting the mocca on him. :)

With the FD beginning to ramp up the pre-season to game simulation soon, I hope Scully and the draftee brigade can all get through it unscathed. In fact, that goes for the entire playing list. It's about time we had a good run, despite the fact that injuries occur from time to time.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
