Does the PP make a difference?

Does the PP make a difference? 83 members have voted

  1. 1. If there was no PP available (that is, finishing 16th gets you pick 1 and so on), what would you prefer the MFC to do?

    • Tank anyway, the lower the finish, the better the draft pick

    • Try to win as many games as possible, there's not much difference between pick 1 and pick 4

Sit back and look forward to the draft! We have the box seat! And PS Pick 1 which should not be under estimated.

Your right, can come in handy, see one Liam Jurrah.

yep...we've sort of overlooked what might be picked up in the PSD with all our focus on the Draft Proper. Just never know what might turn up there and we've first dibs :)

Well Liam Jurrah and Stef Martin have both been very handy pick ups for us... It definitely wouldn't be out of left field if we managed to get another solid contributor

I'm quite interested to see that opinions are varied. This draft's a bit different, though, with Scully being the clear favourite.

Yeah, it's a bit different this year because the number 1 pick is a clear choice. But what I was trying to gauge is whether or not people would still be happy with us seemingly trying to lose these last 5 or so games if the reward was just one top 4 pick. I know that I would prefer us to be winning games if there wasn't a PP on offer.

If the priority pick was random in that barrell with the other bottom 8 draft selection No's, I don't think there would be any real tanking onfield, like that we've witnessed, that's so off putting.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.
