Melbourne v Sydney Swans

In other news, Toigs out to 5 goal lead against the bummers... 2nd quarter. It's all coming up Millhouse!

I'm a fan, but what the snot is happening to PJ?

Stef Martin comes off limping....

Newts has been hard done by from the umps. Last two inside 50's he could have easily been given frees.

4 goals 12 to the Dees. Sorry 4 goals 13!!!

AAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAA!

PJ and then Bruce...

We've had more scoring shots... there's no wind...

Wow. In the last couple of months we have been THAT good going at goal, this is the PERFECT time to miss the easy ones.

Jones has plenty of time running through the centre... and turns it over. Fruit tingles.

Newts tackles LRT, gets a free.... slight angle 25 out... almost missed it but sneaks through.

Hmmm...

Cards, is it just you and me posting here?

Think so mate. Not for much longer, the misses has just come home from playing soccer so will be out the door soon.

It is so frustrating to watch this Dappa D.

Cards...

This is one amazing testament to tanking...

Miller, Newton, Bruce... everyone is spraying them. Swans are doing their best to give it to us. We're only 17 points down and have been better this half.

This isn't football.

TANKARAMA!!!!

I disagree Cards. I think we've been better through the game in terms of desire and heart. Skills? Not so much.

2 goal game. A draw hurts us.

Whelan goal!

11 points in it!

The sad thing for Sydney supporters is that we should be winning this comfortably...

How's Martin playing? I noticed he has 18 hit outs...

Jude Bolton gets the win...

SEN are sticking it to Newton. He has to be done now, surely.

.................

Bate, Newton and Miller is the worst tall-forward combo I have ever seen. Two can't kick, one can't bend over, and all three lack smarts. Comical stuff.

It looks like this was the perfect execution of tanking. For better or for worse, this game was lost at the selection table.

they also said that he has added another string to his bow with his defensive pressure.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
