COME IN GUYS, WE'D LOVE TO HAVE YA!

All, with only a couple of weeks before kick off, we need committment, posts and complete dedication from each and every one of you. If you can play, confirm, if you are a maybe, keep this forum post as up to date as possible so we can get a true indication as to who is IN and who is OUT. We encourage all to bring other Melbourne supporters or even the occasional social football or recreational football players with them, or nominate them onto our playing list. All welcome. These are social games with a taste of fun footy flair. What we need now is committment from everyone. If you are unable to play, we encourage you to nominate and assist in other forms ie: drinkboys or drinkgirls, time keepers, goal and boundary umpires or even a photographer. What good is a day out if there aren't any photographs or very famous club song on video at the end of the day! These forum games make for a great day, and is our prime opportunity to put on the mighty RED and BLUE jumper and represent our great club.

All positions will be decided by the coaches, captain and/or the leadership group on the day.

Leadership Group, if I have left something out, please edit and post.

GO DEES.

Im pumpd for this game cuz finishing exams on 30th Oct which is at least a week earlier than most...if numbers are an issue id advise putting it back a week so more uni kids will be on board.

Just a suggestion, doesnt make a diff to me

The tactic will be the same one we used successfully earlier in the year against Saintsational's gun player. We'll assign someone to smother him with love and kisses. ;)

That the Casey Scorpions bloke?

Yep, didn't like wise monkey (and others) getting up close and personal...

Just flicked through this topic.

Must confirm that the “Casey Scorpions bloke” is not Casey Scorp!

Casey Scorp could never be considered a "gun player" - in fact he's not even good enough to be any sort of a player.

Team list updated. See above.

thanks Rollo... ....list is looking very healthy.

Heard from a female friend of mine today 'Jo' who plays for Box Hill and is happy to take on the role of boundary umpire and even have a run on the ground with us all for at least a quarter. The more the merrier.

Looks like my partner in crime from past games 'Dianne' will make another cameo and take on the role of official game day photographer...

Has there been any progress on the venue/ground?

"Has there been any progress on the venue/ground?"

hey, mfc...

just heard from diesel and he is a starter...

but hoping the numbers of younger players mean that he won't have to set foot on the park...

(he did allright for an old bugger last time he played, I recall)...

saintsaitonal are playing bomberblitz at gosch's park next weekend, so it looks like it is available...

waiting to hear from fullmont about venue/umpire, but the numbers on the talkingcarlton site are looking good, and they say they can come up with an umpy, so it's game on !!

with imtoohot and legend confirming (above), it looks like we will not be embarassed for numbers, and we will be competitive...

Hey guys, as Rollo has already stated, i'll be there! My mate Matt is still TBC though...

Sorry if this has already been mentioned in the thread but, any confirmation on the venue yet?

Bring on TankingCarlton!!!

Hi Doggo,

No confirmation as yet on the venue but Rollo has said that there is a game there at Gosch's Paddock this Sunday between Saintsational and Bomberblitz, which means it's looking like Punt Road will be free for us the week after. This is however still to be confirmed, Rollo or one of the other members from Carlton will confirm this for us shortly. The team list will also be updated once confirmed to reflect this change.

I have also updated the team list with yourself confirmed to play and your mate Matt TBC.

"still waiting to hear from fullmont to confirm the venue..."

there seems to be a potential problem with the gosch's paddock (punt road) venue...

we will know more after this weekend, when saintsational are scheduled to play bomberblitz there...

the players on both of those of those sites are still waiting for confirmation, so at least we will have more notice than them...

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
