Freo rejects Carlton

Featured Replies

He is scum and overrated

My god that is unbelievably rude.....

So is he "scum" because he doesn't want to play for us (if that is to be believed)?

Or because he is guilty of the apparent sin of trying to get himself the best possible deal?

Oh yeah that makes him a real arse  !!!

warnock just wants the visy perks its so obvious. He is scum

Perhaps he thinks Carlton is a stable company that has a good culture, friendly employees, and is offering a good salary package.

Since he's reportedly refused to be traded to Melbourne, we could guess that he might feel the MFC is an unstable entity with poor renumeration, and perhaps other negatives too.

In any other field, I'm not sure anyone would be called 'scum' for choosing the former.

Yep..I'll go along with that. ;)

Still..think its daft to allow the club to haggle an then get thingy when its not your ideal. Mind boggles really. Still . thats the glory that is trade week

Fair call, I think, Belzebub59. I bow to your innate ability to constantly change your avatar without any help from the forum administrators.

Oh, and to further the thread, let's not get caught up in a rucking type player unless we think he can be a 200+cm Ruck Rover who can pull 25 possessions per game, including 5 contested marks, 2 goals avg, and if he can't garrantee 1st possession from ruck contests, then be a competitive engine room partner at all stoppages.

For the above I would sign up a 3 year contract for $500k first year, $400k second year, $300k 3rd year. But renegotiate contract yearly.

aww,,shucks.!! ^_^

I wonder...just wonder.. ...nah....they wouldnt surely !! lol

Would they, could they........

are they ??

Are Freo DELIBERATELY giving Carlton a hard time hoping we will trump them at 1.59 ?..The present it to Robbie as Fait Accompli ??.. Mate....MAAAAATTE .....we tried our best for you and the club (sure ) ...enjoy Melbourne !! lol :)

Blues may get Warnock for nothing

Well..after all the hullabaloo... If he doesnt want to come.. then thats it.. Such is life..

Lets move to concentrate on securing someone else..and stop wasting or time

Not everything works the way you want it..So be it.

NEXT !!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
