Breeding Program

It`s apparent the MFC need to come up with new idea`s to stay ahead of the pack.

I suggest a breeding program where anyone who has played more than 100 games for this great club has an incentive to multiply.

Maybe a 10k baby bonus

I want a father son champion

Yeah right! You will get a team of absolute duds that will cost the club a fortune.

We should encourage them to not marry, but have many girlfriends, & we could organise child payments & a creche @ the 'G'.

Pretty hard when we have no champions.

Jim Stynes, gary lyon, todd Vineys kids will all play for us!!!!

Thank you.

You can add some Grinters, Fidges, Shwartz`s ect.....

I will also nominate my three sister`s as candidates, they all love a good fight.

Get these guy`s doing it !

Does anyone actually know when the next viable father-son pick for us becomes available? We'll be waiting a few years on Jimmy's boy(probably about 12) and i think Gary's oldest is about 13-14 and Viney's might be about the same.

Does anyone know if Lovett, Yeats, Obst, Rhode, Grinter or Greg Healy have any kids?

I seem to recall hearing that Lyon's eldest son was only playing in the 9B team at school. If true, I can't see him in the red and blue.

Even if that's year 9/under 15s (as opposed to under 9s) A LOT of development happens between 14 and 17/18.

I've seen kids who kicked 8 a game in U15s not even make Eastern Ranges 2 years later and others who couldn't get a kick then go close to being drafted

Not sure why father-and-son is important or productive.

If genetic procreation was applied as it is for sheep dogs, then maybe.

Given human reproduction is a variable sport, I can't see the benefit.

Give me a mongrel who just wants to play footy. :)

That's creative....

Neita better get cracking too!!!!!

fwiw HT has a boy on the way.....playing music to him, : -

1/ Up there Cazaly

2/ Melbourne fc theme song

Any other suggestions?

Perhaps John Kennedy's "Don't think, DO!!" speech

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
