My 3 word player analysis V The Rats

Featured Replies

If you were there, you would have seen that he didn't care.

If he cared he wouldn't have been jogging around in circles with his hands in the air calling for the ball.

You did not have to been there to form Nasher's opinion. The fact you go to the game but still hold that naive impression says alot.

Its ridiculous to allege that he or any player does not care.

Its a pity the game has passed him by. It should be his last AFL game.

Bartram - Never looked good

Bate - Lazy, lazy, lazy

Bruce - The sideways specialist

Buckley - Glimmer of hope

Carroll - Not to blame

Dunn - Harvey was right

Frawley - Surprisingly better performance

Green - Barely even noticed

C.Johnson - Never got going

P.Johnson - Needs better presence

Jones - Low on confidence?

McDonald - Kept on battling

Maric - The shining light

Martin - Keeps on impressing

Morton - Give him time

Sylvia - Just about gone

Warnock - Not to blame

Wheatley - Just foats around

Whelan - Surprisingly bad disposal

White - Last ever game

Valenti - Glimmer of hope

Wonaeamirri - Does something everytime

IMO the ability is still there, but the desire is gone.

Maybe I'm wrong, but when a player doesn't go in for the tackle, doesn't run those extra few steps and doesn't chase, but basically stands still when the ball is not in close vicinity, they just don't care anymore.

That doesn't mean they don't care about the club, it simply means they are tired of playing the game at the highest level and that the motivation to keep going is no longer there. Knowing you have 3 games left (if that) is certainly not helping the situation.

As I said, I admire White for everything he has done for the club (through some horrific injuries) and it saddens me to see him leave the game on such a poor note.

BINGO..It really takes the edge and urgency off. Probably not even intended..it just happens. You know the end is nigh...and it just kills the moment.

I dont really understand why he was on the park.

fair call. those that have seen more of sandy than i would know better, but i'm not sure he did anything to justify a return. then he again he might still have been our only option to replace jamar.

it was a shyte slippery night, skills are going to be down especially young blokes skills

nothing wrong with Geelongs skills <_<

was ok on Mooney i thought.

Sure was - until he took Mooney the guy was beaten. He played him back to form.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
