As I stated in another thread, having played mainly Sunday games for the last few years has been

catastrophic to our attendances and memberships.

With junior sport played at all times on Sundays , Melbourne supporter parents have virtually no choice

as they will most likely watch their children rather than attend our games.

Our junior supporter numbers have been effected as well as how do these kids who play Sundays get to

watch their team? We are losing a generation of supporters due to so many Sunday games.

The club must agitate to rectify this problem!!!!!

I dont mind the odd Sunday game.. and prefer that it starts at 1. can go..get home and stil teh whole evening is there etc.

My absolute preference is for Sat arvos. As kids are getting a littel older and I often NOW dont see them so much on a Friday night.. this option is now open to me..

So for me

1..Sat arvo

2..Fri night

3. Sun..early start

Id like to see only 2-3 games on a Sunday . Lets share the love huh!! lol

i agree with the person who said saturday afternoon then read about in the papers at breakfast/brunch on sunday...also who pays for public transport for footy ive never paid for a train ride into jolimont on a footy day ive brought a used one and walk right pass the inspectors they dont even look at your ticket, why waste your money if they cant do theyre job properly

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
