I have been lucky the last two weekends, there have been zero chick flicks on so I have been able to suggest alternatives, what with the weather being so lousy. As a former pilot and a current chemical engineer I have been to see Deepwater Horizon and last week Sully so as my wife said are you satisfied now? Two hours of air crash re-enactments and analysis this week and major hazard disasters last week, boy I will be seeing some chick flick stuff sometime very soon.

DV I still favour bringing back the public stocks in Fed Square for some public humiliation with rotten tomatoes etc for these bastards. And can we make it retrospective because I want to line up some former Planning Ministers for a stint in the same stocks, Robert Maclellan comes to mind and even the former Carlton Ruckman!

Yes DC they also should be charged with tampering with a crime scene as well as the asbestos scandals. The EPA today found asbestos from the Carlton site dumped at one of their properties in Cairnlea, the issues keep coming. And yet no media outlets can track them down??

Which game was that?

The 2 games I saw this year at Eitihad we were out coached first and out played, second. Our players did not man up on saints players setting up on the opposite back flank, time and time again so when they intercepted at half back, they just switched play to 3 saints set up on the other side who would run and kick into their forward set up and goal. My memory is it happened time and time again with no attempt to disrupt what was a set play by just going man on man in the back half. Maybe it was a learning period for us as we learnt to play our "no personal responsibility" zone defence. Anyway it cost us 2 games at Eitihad.

Not until we deal with The Riddler surely!
-
Don't worry DZ I have informed Commissioner Gorden of the problem. He said he knows some people who can deal with the Riddler!

And no doubt his knees will miraculously recover after two years of misery and he will be an absolute gun who plays every week.

But isn't he studying to be a lawyer?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - PATRICK MCKENNA
Earl Hood replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
So many question Milesh. He's a middle order left hand bat and a handy slow left arm orthodox tweeter, we must be needing an all rounder, that is all I know. -
The 159 year old pub in Carlton, the Carlton Inn, an old watering hole for many a Melbourne Uni student has been illegally demolished on the weekend! I am outraged, I am sick to death of these cowboy developers who are taking over political parties, roadways and anything else they might want. We allow cheap fire prone materials, compromised building codes and endless height limits for these bastards, what more can we do for them? All the while as we facilitate a building investment bubble. I say we deal with these bastards this time. They must rebuild the pub, brick by brick and I advocate we bring back the public stocks, I am talking supervised public humiliation for these two developers! Rotten to motors at 20 paces. It may finally send a message. I am fired up because I have just been to Rones' new street art exhibition around the corner from my place in Fitzroy. He has placed his female portraits in an amazing space on Johnston street, the old 1920's Lyric cinema building that will be demolished next month. Thanks VCAT you useless bastards. Heritage means nothing at VCAT. The unique building will be knocked over for a new Aldis and the usual apartments on top. Really the existing built space could have accommodated a supermarket, with tje apartments built on top but that kind of innovative thinking is well beyond the drones at VCAT.

DFrog did you see the wild flowers of WA on your long drive? They are saying this year is phenomenal after all the rainfall this year. If I was retired I would be over there now hanging around Geraldton and inland.

Pink This thread is not to be used for actual information. Don't do that again!

Didn't someone say that the Hawks are applying for a priority after not winning a final this year?
-
I agree RL, nice beach but there were a few pretentious people around when I was last there.

Saber, lucky you didn't hear Swan on SEN this morning with KB, he was talking up their list no end, said Fagan was really enthusiastic about their kids and what's coming up in their Academy, in short he was lauding the future prospects of the Lions. I thought gee this is not the message you send when you are after, cap in hand, a priority pick from the AFL commission of drones! He was asked about the pp decision and claimed ignorance as to when the decision would be made. I suspect he already knew the outcome this morning when he was jibbering on. And as you point out, talk about hypocrisy of the highest order, what was his argument for us not getting a pp was the AFL shouldn't be rewarding failure or something similar!
-
But aren't they just following their secret formula? Once they input the relevant data, the algorithm spat out the answer, i.e. end of second round priority. It's all done at arms length surely but people here are alluding to some contrived outcome!

Nathan Vardy?

Bottomless salary cap over at Waverley of course, now for O'Meara and Mitchell. Gibbo must be taking a pay cut to make space.
