they seem to have a LEFT ARM AROUND THE WICKET theory of picking spinners the next 2 tests set us up for brizzy, so im very happy hilditch walking the dog on the beach is not involved, now comes the test of fitness for the pace bowlers any good solid batting performance should strengthen the team from here on in don't know if maddinson is the answer but I thought MC stated an interesting thing WATSON WILL BAT WHERE WE SE FIT IN THE ORDER . its the first time weve heard this type of comment re anybody could shreks backing up of the captain have instilled reality to the line up?

yep harris due to rest aches pains you would imagine spot on with the spinner call rr. the selectors have been inconsisitent with the issue for 5 years can Clarke and smith warner keep taking it up to swanny.well we hope so before brizzy there is a lot of finding out in the next 2 tests . so we start brizzy with a clear selection agenda

warner opening , good innings to. watto put in his place too bad were 2 down because winning the toss and batting first in the next test would be a test of fitness on their bowlers is siddle our glue for the last 3 years just realised harris maybe due for 4th test rest
  4. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
yes cards I think we were on that track 2 tests ago could be working

2 interesting things . when warner walks up the runway to speak to the batsmen at the other end,he mouths I didn't hit it. other batsmen replies, with eyes down not looking in the face of warner . errr I fink you knicked it now were on the field and battling away, the coach gives the signal for an unrefered appeal YEP HE WAS OUT. just to make the afternoon all the more pleasurable the players could field happy in the knowledge they should've called DRS captaincy, batsmenship, don't equal leadership if your confused get a dictionary.i answered a query on why our team was so bad. and said we don't have leadership. in anyway shape or form in this team. no leadership in the sheds and it transpires on the ground. I didn't attack Clarke intentionly. maybe I cant write as good as others,my Clarke comments were printed after somebody wanted to know why I thought there was no leadership.i also answered why I thought Clarke couldn't and shouldn't lead.if I didn't give reasons people may not have understood any person who writes down roman numerals and goes to the tattoo shop and says print this on me arm and finds out he has misread roman numerals is not a sharp person.then argues with half the team after Symons was rooting lsut of the month lara .then pulls out of a tour to sort out the fevmyster. is definitely not the smartest person to follow into battle lets buy a lamborgini because I have a bad back. and want to protect it ,as Watson said whod follow you as I previously said :would you go to war with. ponting Waugh. or pup either way I follow and love cricket. my idea of the game is opinion and if you don't like it . that's OK go aussies

glad warner used his DRS meltdown while we are in such a good position rather it happen now and the team sort it out once and for all with so many runs on the board , it wont haunt us in this match. MC no doubt will set some drs rules within the team from here on in like I said pre first test , keep their bowlers in the field, and hopefully this will pay off in the 4th test and last but not least, how good was it to see rogers hold top spot.
  7. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
great day for the boys very happy for rogers to set us up with a steady openers take the shine off the ball innings now lets hope golden balls and junior golden balls can set this game up for warner and haddin to squash a tiring attack it will give the bowlers so much to work with. the first hour will set the tone for the rest of the match.

don't think were good enough to play 2 spinners
  9. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
at least we have hope and future poor old cards13 who follows cycling has no hope no future and retrospective doping to worry about enjoy the 3rd test everybody and watch out for the smartalec warner to upset the poms
  10. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
speaking about leadership. warner, the little pigface could end up being the one. he has that attitude of I might be wrong but lets do it anyway, and hes got that smartalec attitude that will upset the poms and every other team. also we need a new start so without a leader on the horizon he could be the fill in that adds spice to the team for 3 years until new leaders appear

deluded. bobby simpson was still playing grade cricket in nsw when wsc started and the acb needed an older head at the helm we had a bad team and I would rate it worse than what we have now,so a LEADER was injected to develop and nuture new team ethos dressing room rumours have been proven many times in the past , going back to tiger oriellys day.its just that the press and former players don't want to krap in their own nest that stops them from writing about it as for how did we get here . well the main selector was walking his dog on the beach instead of being at a test match. this gives rise to the theory that the skipper is in charge of selection as I wrote earlier ponting wouldnt scrub his old mate hayden and it stopped a new player getting tests under belt for the future.in fact hayden got 10 tests to many. then punter went for backstop for batting strength and not wicketkeeper after the famous changeroom fight he backed MC and the kat was banished. unfortunately they got rid of a leader and kept a gimp

yes macca , and steve Waugh didn't shine with the bat until he played a few tests same with boony at 6, until he earnt stripes it takes at least 35_40 tests to get your position down pat, and atm we haven't been willing to let players do that. that's why losing 5_0 might be the catylist for a general overhaul don't wish it , but think it needs to happen to justify the big knife
  13. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
your right imo , but they are still in love with goldenballs and wont stand him down as skip

I think its to late for kat a rebuild of the rebuild looks like the only way to go
  15. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
yeah that's what I thought btw on the leadership issue, not that I may know anything about it my dad always gave the advice of ,:would you follow this man into hades through the gates of hell " and the easiest answer of that question is . RP yes.SW yes MC no but you can only answer that yourself .so on the leadership issue would you follow MC
  16. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
yep deluded. betcha MC would like to have a leader in the sheds with him right now

macca I think cowan has been overlooked by a lot of people, his technique is better than most in the team atm Clarke will stay smith gets another 3 tests at least warner will be back wade not sure he will be anything but a stopgap batsman interesting shield opening this year with a lot of players asking their skippers if they can bat in the top 3.knowing that places are open will generate a free for all at shield level

say it aint so cards this sport gets hammered every day, maybe they should declare it drug induced and take the innuendo out of it its very scary for future news on evans mckewan and others now seems the statute of limitations brings forward admittance after 10 cooling off period or retirement
  20. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
his last 10 tests yielded 786 runs read the roar after he was dropped also google katichbinglesymonds btw I was talking about LEADERSHIP, not whether MC is a good bat good bowler good bloke or good tactician anyway the trouble starts now with warner making 196
  21. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
have you googled katichbinglesymonds its worth the laugh just to see greg Mathews comments funny. mo Mathews katich,g Lawson, and stuey McGill, all from NSW and don't like MC
  22. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
agree with you macca, its very early 80s this batting line up they really have no choice but remain with the current, so who do they pick? stability is needed for the remaining 3 tests, and see if they can get something going in the right direction Clarke 5 smith6 kulwaja4 watson1 cowan , was opening and doing the dirty work. id give him the last 3 tests 1st drop. don't know. do we try hughes AGAIN glad a bowler is injured. it gives chance for bird and leg spinner.
  23. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
ok rhino last crack Clarke defused his own situation by using selectors to get rid of symonds and then katich interesting after 3 years people want katich him back and as captain, because he stands up and LEADS this has been the mark against MC from the start. after his blue with katich he made sure he was dropped although he was the best performed batsman in world cricket for the 2 previous years. MC couldn't get over the personal dustup and have katich in the team, fact this has caused a major problem because when change room decisions are made you want a reliable back up to support your ideas, katich would have unfortunately without a strong personality to back you up. iekatich.the bully bros, Watson warner walk all over aleaderless team and do what they want, hence we lack LEADERSHIP and last but not least google, katich, bingle, symonds not looking for a fight , just explaining what lack of leadership does in the team enviroment

don't know much about Faulkner, thanks for the update macca.ive never seen him play sportsline this morning gave the selection process for the last 5 years a big pasting Geoff Lawson was scathing about the past 4 years and the present . he said Watson was terrible in play and body language im starting to agree with cards, maybe while were buggered we can prepare super fast strips and find out who can play and who wants to play,at least against this attack we can use our pace to have a go. also gives their bats less chance of steady all day at the crease total building, its always been said that we found our best players after the windies kicked the Christ out of us on fast wickets with speed bowlers
