ok, were stuffed and after we get back home , there wont be many chances for new players to shine with limited shield games before the first test in brizzy. so what planning do we put in place between now and then first we must pick a WICKETKEEPER not a batsmen keeper, this is heartbreaking to bowlers and team. said to be best . T LUDEMAN batting line up. not rapt in smith but they have to tell him hes in for the next 8 tests and wont be dropped cowan, was doing the take the shine off the ball as an opener, dont know why he was moved to 3, kulwaja. same as smith leave him and tell him to figure it out bowling now has to take away the four balls and bring the opposition scores down from 350 to 300 agar, mmmmm wondering hop good he can bat and will he be good enough to play as an allrounder, in the future leadership. pfffft , we got none and nuffink on the way up.trouble is they wont drop golden boy and he wont move aside so some minor changes now and some major confidence boosts now, could have an effect on the future very quickly unfortunately james Sutherland went to the m.clarke school of cliché talking and doesn't have any balls for positive change

DEELUDED it did start about then, ponting as good as he was didn't want to play in a losing team, when gilly retired he wouldn't accept a wicketkeeper. he plumped for another batsmen and was happy with backstop that could make a few runs. instead of rebuilding then hayden was kept on for 10 tests to many and a young player couldn't get those early experiences under his belt. and when the end was close, instead of spending the last 3 years at no 6 and ushering in yet another cadet, oh no ricky wants to stay at 3 and ruin the chances of the younger player fitting in. it was debated by ex players in the press that he was ruining the end of a great career,by the time he retired there was no plan in place, he did state at one stage that if dropped I will play ipl and get a million dollars it was a threat that ca panicked about and did what the players wanted TD, I think they might try a soccer thing in the shield and make it compulsory to have 2 players under a certain age read my other post about katich re clarke

ended career of katich after the change room fight when simon was the only one prepared to tell him that symonds was duffing lara Clarke also now holds the world record for using the most clichés during interviews than any modern sportsperson

reckon your right also not sure about cowan, I think as an opener at least he made the seeing off the new ball his priority whilst the cupboard is bare we will have to put up with some average rubbish players and that's the nature of our shield atm one major problem has been the big bash, local players are now willing to hang around into old age because playing shield also gives them a chance at a BB contract which pays a lot of bills for 30 yo average cricketers, hence stopping them from getting out of shield to be replaced by youngsters also wondering will warner or the leg spinner be on plane back from sth Africa?

well he couldn't pull Watson and warner into line for starters mitch johnson was another one the acb had to drop because MC couldn't handle his outbursts on the last ashes tour katich was regarded as the most proficient batsmen in the world for 2 years and all of a sudden was dropped , it WAS the lara symonds Clarke blue that katich stepped in and tried to be open and clear the air , Clarke made the comment either I play IPL for a million dollars or I stay in the aussie team, he goes or I go the aussie selectors chose Clarke, big error they thought he was a leader and have found out hes just a batsmen at best btw rhino, don't want to argue with or upset you just seeing where we are at and why, as usual very depressing, its gonna take 4/6 years to rebuild
  6. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
forgot about that incident that was meaningless was talking about LEADERSHIP the symonds lara katich ,CLARKE incident was in change rooms at brizzy, nothing to do with ponting leadership maybe we all may like Clarke , we may enjoy his sometimes skillfull batting ,but your getting all of that mixed up with LEADERSHIP as I said , its not his fault , but put quite simply he is not a leader I will leave the MUCKRAKING for Robbie f

smith at this stage doesn't have the temperament to play long innings at any ground and situation, this will come with patience aussie selctors spoke to doctors about paines hand, the result was he could probably get away with playing shield cricket, but to keep to 3 fast bowlers for 100 overs and back it up a day later , and then in the next test match which is usually 3 days away , would be doubtful. if you follow cricket you will realise its not as bad at shield level as being overseas and lasting 2 tests and your hand wont allow you to play the 3rd. also the level of bowlers is at a higher continuos standard for longer than shield cricket questions about clarkes leadership not batsmanship go back several years to the katich , ponting lara, symonds incident, it was said to be the break up of the aussie team which gilly also made comment about. whilst not my favourite, Clarke just doesn't know how to lead and the selectors now have a burden of nobody to step into the leadership role and they are stuck with him at least we know the bowling will stand us in good stead for the next 10 years , so that's a bonus almost forgot, the marsh boys were in a bit of ben cousins trouble that has hindered their aca contracts

tim paine , is the best keeper ,but his hands wont hold up for 5 days and back to back tests amazing you say to change after this series, well many moons ago they wanted hayden out , so that a younger player could get some tests under his belt before a coming ashes series. ponting refused to let hayden be dropped and his last 10 tests were pitiful and stopped the selecters giving a young player 10 tests to learn the ropes before the ashes, the result has been ongoing for the last 7 YEARS and this team is still paying that price. our captain has no balls and doesn't stand up to the bullies that surround him, that's why the dropping of katich was the worst thing in our last 7 years , he would have made a great leader and didn't take chit of anybody, yes a proven skipper when ponting sided with Clarke over the lara affair it spelt the death knell not only for katich but Australian cricket we wont be out of this hole for another 4 years at least we will get the occasional hero to love for a month and that's about it good strong batsmen who can handle all conditions take at least 35 tests to blossom, so it will take maybe 5 years to clear the decks of rubbish and find and teach the next lot hold on and wait because this will get very painful

said before the series started and now mickey aurthor has backed it up Watson , cancer in the team , has used DRS more than any player in world cricket.selfish bugger Clarke nice bloke , FAIR batsmen, not a leader, cant control Watson or warner . poor example of leadership lyon, cant spin hughes, still has hole outside off stump, cant play spin, doesn't like swinging delivery, otherwise ok kulwaja. was said by ACA , struggles to play spin, lacks confidence after being dropped 3 times already in career haddin, nothing but a backstop, not a wicketkeepers bootlace. haS ONLY 3 SHOTS AND 2 of them are slogs pattinson. captain has tried to harness a stallion. let him LOOSE siddle , thanks mate harris can only play limited amount on tour thanks ok starc, fat head needs kick up blurter. went for slog with a batsmen at the other end in india as we tried to save test. what to do. select a WICKETKEEPER. ludeman put trust in a young batsmen and let him play 30 tests, find a skipper tell Watson and warner they are in charge of our 1 day and 20/20 team. their good at innings in the 40s
  10. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
pattinson looks a much better bowler when he is let loose it seems the problem is hes trying to bowl to much line and length that's interfering with his natural ability to bowl wicket balls

lets hope our bowlers don't get sucked into bowling trash because of the lords HILL it normally claims a victim new to the ground
  12. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
bat first at lords , forget runs just BAT as long as possible and weaken their bowlers for last 3 tests just keep getting overs into swan and Anderson.a draw will suit us and get an advantage in tests 3,4,5 personally I don't think we have batsmen capable of batting for 2 days, and theres the difference between the teams

wondering if anybody knows whether the batsman can ask for the extra half hour tacked onto, a session and if the answer is yes , then why didn't they something tells meTD will know the legalities of that
  17. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
you must keep in mind that our skipper is considered by many to be a TWIT also DRS is 100% rubbish and all experts agree on this worst part of the game was the ineptitude of the umpire to say anything to the English captain about over rates,i was very shocked to see a conversation between skipper and bowler mid over and it continually happened with no interruption from either the umpire or the senior australian batsmen BH, he should of approached the umpire and requested intervention, also it seems drinks breaks are not needed any more.

how many people wanted to punch swan, after he fist pumped for catching a no 11 out on 98 and showing the crowd how cool he was
  19. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
yes that's true, but the people that live down the road know a dees supporter, so that's good enough to claim him
  20. jazza replied to Whispering_Jack's post in a topic in Other Sports
when I look at the batting line ups, the poms seem to be more likely NOT to be bowled out for less than 250, and we look more likely to be out for less than 250 as in the whole series so happy no lyon in team, and now room for bird rogers was a bit stiff and looked solid Watson is still a nothing player haddin once again proved hes just a backstop
  21. jazza replied to jacey's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
looking back at grand final teams of the past 30 years the spine and gutz seem to be all similar and then you have gravediggers weve got gravediggers and don't need any more it would be nice to have a crumbing forward specialist, but they are not needed take a look at the past gf teams, theres players in each team that you think , how did he get a game? its simple really , the team was very good in most areas and a gravedigger got a spot
