Keep up the good work PG.

Some very handy footballers there. I would be giving the number 35 to Addam Maric on account of him being compared to Peter Daicos who must be about the best player to have worn the jumper number in the VFL/AFL.
That sounds good to me

actually I dont hink we'll set the world on fire straight out of the box but build through the season.. Slow and steady wins the race..
Or in other words- crawl before we walk or run
-
It will be hard to come 16th if we improve. I can't believe the tank talk has started.
Neither can I
Honestly i dont see us finishing 16th We will be around in the top 8 by the end of aug 08

All i hope is that we are not hot one or 2 weeks then go cold in 1 or 2 weeks. If on a winning run keep it up and if we are on a losing streak we can break it with a big win.

The Herald Sun has a great article on Dean Bailey - DEAN OF MELBOURNE
Great article- lots of positives buzzing around at the moment

There is no way that 12 clubs will grant a liscence for a 17th team, particularly when 10 out of 16 clubs are Victorian. As much as there are rivalries etc in the game, no Victorian club wants to see another one leave and they will all vote against it.
The most realistic solution that I reckon will happen is that 2 Victorian clubs will be forced to merge, or the Kangaroos will go broke and be forced to move up to the Gold Coast.
Hard to agree against those points.

In the Lions last Premiership year, they had 10 crowds of over 40k at the Gabba
In 2007 the Lions had just one.
Their team hasn't fallen off that much, they still have some star players and some exciting kids, but the fans have deserted them.
Neither Queensland nor NSW are ready for a 2nd team yet.
This i agree with.
Especially here in NSW, we hardly get any AFL coverage unless ot is something major with the swans or in the AFL (Cousins saga). In addition in Western Sydney no one really cares about AFL, and the stores hardly sell AFL gear only swans stuff. So how is an new team in West Sydney going to get support?
Maybe in 10 to 20 years time QLD and NSW will be ready, but not yet

Sounds good- i'm very excited for the start of the season

The only reason to get angry is CAC had just signed a 3 year contract, now wishes to break his contract and leave the club, where is the integrity <_< .
Unfortunately in today's business world there is no loyalty.

Hard to say at the present. For now Mclean- I'll wait until their careers are over then make a decision

You do realise that it takes time to move your entire life to the other side of the country, don't you?
I assume one or both of his parents work, they have obligations, probably a house they'll need to sell. So yeah, they might be making the move to Victoria, but they won't be at training tomorrow that's for sure.
Yeah I concur- Moving is tough for anyone. I dont know the financial situation of the parent(s) of the draftees. If they are not well off it is hard. Let them take time to move

One the FB Frawley has to be thrown into the deep end, he is big enough to stand most forwards and if the back 6 help each other out like Geelong did in 2007 he will be fine.
That is certainly what we need our backline working together. I would give Carroll another go at FB to start the year, and if he does not perform there I would put Frawley into FB

Although you are good for a laugh YM, Please stop making these predictions it only makes us bad

Wonderful work Nugget- Enjoyed that
Good choice for song, the last 150 years certainly have been a 'bitter sweet symphony'
