Our problems have been evident for the last 23 games yet nothing changes. Rants are justified. Our talent is obvious but our gameplan is stale and outdated. Too late making changes when the game is lost.

Let’s try for the first 10 minutes of the 3/4 kamakzi run and gun, fast ball movement , play on at all costs to an open fwd line with Fritsch coming out of the square, Chandler and Kosi 25-30 metres out in opposite pockets.

We’ve had numerous opportunities when we’ve won the ball off half back.

We’ve tried that at times but certain players don’t have the skills.

Let’s clear the fwd 50 and just leave Fritsch, Kosi and Chandler in there.

Freo’s fwds have separation. What a concept.

Fritsch’s kicking, he used to never miss wether it be a set shot or snap. He missed a crucial one in the last qtr last week.

That’s been our problem, they’re always too relaxed.

Best piece of play all day and they [censored] it.

Great mark to TMac but how about getting some separation out fwds. Simple stuff.

As does the rest of the competition.

If we’re going to continue bombing it to Gawn/Grundy when kicking out, can we at least get some numbers around them.

All we heard pre season was the Dees training intensity was above all other teams. All bar 4 players today are premiership players from 2021, a year that we beat the Lions three times and absolutely destroyed Geelong (2022 Premiers) and the Bulldogs in the Preliminary/GF. Has the game changed that much? Have others teams gotten that much better? A lot of our guns are still in their prime as well as having a lot of young players from that year who have naturally progressed, Rivers being the prime example. I think our game plan hasn’t evolved and our disposal is terrible for long periods of games. 5-6 rounds in our accuracy was the best in the league. We have so much talent, we just need to tweak a few things and drop any arrogance we may be carrying and stop taking opponents for granted. This list should be able to achieve one more flag as a minimum. The fact we’re still having these types of discussions is very disappointing.
