Roos has flagged there won't be major changes for this week. He rattled of a few names of people getting a kick in the VFL but stated when looking at those players you ask the question where can they play? And how can they help us? Those questions would of been asked prior to round 1 hence certain players not making the team for reasons other than suspension or injury. Some of the people that find themselves in the VFL have had years to prove themselves, if they were playing would we even have a lead to begin with.

Who's everyone? I find it more amusing people pushing for Grimes to come back into the team. Managed to watch a few games over the weekend, effective users of the footy, what a concept.....

Will he play next year? It's the balance of being competitive and looking forward.

I thought Roos said it was his role for this year(or the intermediate) as part of his development.

You could argue for and against other players I know.... IN - JKH, PEDO Dunn and Col can play on talls and smalls so I don't see that having Frost down there as an issue.

Yes but let's keep in mind it's the VFL, we've all seen what happens when the pressure is on. Has he suddenly overcome all his deficiencies in two weeks? If Howe is to come out put JKH in and do some shuffling. Some players might have had a bad second half but at least they can use the footy. Grimes is not the answer, he's had his chance.

What would have Grimes added today..... I appreciate the whole Dawes is another big body, takes the heat of Hogan blah blah blah, any chance of taking a mark. So a player/players have a quiet game and suddenly we need to rush Grimes back into the side, why arent these players awarded years of free games? We only had 4 on the injury list heading into today's game. The team that run out today is the best team we can field this year(JKH the only exception) so for mine no change unless someone doesn't pull up. And Song, you were right to be worried at half time.

I wouldn't argue for Trenners but if Petracca wasn't injured he and Brayshaw could be rotated every couple of weeks to manage their workload.

This looks to be the best team we've fielded in years. With only four on the injury list, 3 of them kids we definitely have no excuses today.

Well the whole thread must be locked then WJ because no one has any proof with regards to anything being said and the context behind it. It's all speculation and will continue until about ten minutes before the first bounce in Canberra today. I know it's a news story but how about we put it to rest for good. Criticism of Garland and Grimes was warranted. Garland played well on the weekend and there's no shortage of people reminding us about it. Please remember most of you were wrong about Grimes being best 22.
