  1. Welcome back Wadda. Mate, if they want a few extras for Michelle Payne’s movie make sure you put a good word in for us. It’s pretty wet here also. Predicting Swans to win 48-42 tonight.
  2. Best Bet: Doomben R9 No.2 Higher Ground Tab Odds $3.10 Terrific win last start nosing out its stablemate in G3 level. Usually likes to settle midfield and shouldn’t have any trouble finding a good spot from barrier 6. Up half a kilo in weight but it looks like it’s a classy colt out of So You Think.
  3. Is this Real or Overreaction?
  4. Hi Macca. I am leaning towards the Doomben 10,000. Not fussed either, happy with majority. If we can get the right combo and the two favourites miss out on the win the tri could show a healthy divvy. I don’t mind the Derby either, although I do feel it’s slightly difficult to gauge 3yr olds in a long distance race unless we are talking an out and out star. Even then you might come across a less fancied runner that just loves the long trip and can run all day and outstage a hot pot.
  5. Well done Nathan Walker. The first Australian player in the NHL to register a point in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Assisted in Washington’s first goal in game 6 against the Pens. https://www.russianmachineneverbreaks.com/2018/05/07/obviously-alex-chiasson-scored-assist-nathan-walker/
  6. Haha. I’m actually a little surprised Max hasn’t come in a tad from the $26 mark. He’s ranked in the top 3 players in the league at the moment. The disparity in odds between Cripps and Oliver for the Brownlow has me scratching my head. $34 for Cripps currently in a team that’s winless yet Clarry is $101. Is Clarry worth a couple of bucks also?
  7. Clearly evident by winning a hard ball in our defensive goalsquare in the third quarter then following up a minute later kicking a running goal.
  8. Tyson was very good yesterday, especially in the first half. He was everywhere and linked up well. He was ranked as the 3rd most effective player on the ground at half time. For a player not blessed with speed he finds himself in the right spots most of the time. People will use his 7 turnover stat yesterday as a guide to prove their point, but last week he was credited with 1 turnover to Salem’s 9 and nothing was said about Salem yet Tyson still received the usual comments. There must be a lot of Tysons running around the league this year, the average kicking efficiency league wide is at 65%.
  9. Goodness, I’m missing out on all the fun being stuck at work. Will make it home for our tri though.
  10. Penrith coming hard Wadda.
  11. Best Bet: Morphetville R8 No1 Savapinski. TAB odds $3.10 Good run first up and I thought the horse had a very good spring. Should be able to lead from barrier 7 and might be hard to catch.
  12. Going with 6 Pleasuring & 9 Temple Of Bel for the placings. Injuries Wadda. They lost their young gun fullback for the season last weekend. Already missing Cleary, Mansour and Blake. They are arguably their best 4 players. https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/teams/panthers/penriths-injury-ward-suffers-another-blow-with-dylan-edwards-to-miss-remainder-of-season/news-story/3b37eaf42022148c664456b08b4221ec
  13. Hi fellas. How do you want to go about this? I can list them now or do you prefer Raceday? I’ve also got 3 “ Emergencies” ready to go in case of scratchings. @Wadda We Sing raise the bat mate! 3000 likes!!
  14. Good plan, I’m happy with that.
  15. Are we changing the order around this time @Macca or keeping the same? I let the team down last week?
  16. One of my favourites in Despatch ($11 TAB) taking on Nature Strip and Viridine. I am looking forward to this race.
  17. Great choices Macca. The Oaks appeal to me at the moment but will have a deeper look tomorrow. A lot of quality running around. Thanks for posting the track configurations.
  18. Been mentioned by a few posters elsewhere as an important signature going forward. Would he be our number 1 priority now? Sign him up: Oscar McDonald. The 22-year-old has taken his game to another level in 2018, flourishing after assuming the mantle as Melbourne's No.1 key defender. Stronger in one-on-one contests this season and more assured with the ball in his hand, McDonald has played the most game time of any player in the competition after six rounds. Shapes as a key member of the Demons' team over the next decade. Others of note: Angus Brayshaw, Dean Kent, Jake Melksham, Bernie Vince
  19. Keep up the good work Oscar. Made the Round 6 Team of the Week. http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2018-05-01/three-demons-in-r6-team-of-the-week.mobileapp
  20. Were you on Wadda? I knew I shouldn’t have started a game of scrabble with the kids.
  21. Not a bad run Wadda, spoke to my mate prior to the race and he basically said they will decide soon on his future. These “ not bad” runs are becoming all too familiar lately and probably best to come to a decision soon. Anyway, we carry on and look forward to Sha Tin tomorrow.
  22. Hmmm, definitely watching the Sunset. Loomed ominously at the top of the straight but didn’t find much. Even the half a million dollar colt (5) couldn’t get into the race. Come on the trifecta!!
  23. Well done @Wadda We Sing, awesome win by William Thomas. Super strong late!
  24. Hi all. My two to fill the placings. No.3 Duca Valentinois. No.11 Plaisir. Good luck all.
