I’m happy with any of the 3 Macca, here’s my order of preference in case a “tiebreaker” is required. 1. McKell Cup - Randwick 2. Kingsford-Smith Cup - Doomben 3. Queensland Oaks - Doomben

Hold your horses!! You’re wondering on the right track Macca. Spoke to mate today and they are considering giving the Zephyr one more run with the blinkers on. Admittedly the win was in a weak field of 4 and had the horse lost it would have been in the paddock definitely. Will provide further updates soon. Will check out the trifecta options when I get home a little later.

Surely Macca?.... only need to beat 3 runners home. He won’t get a better chance to break the drought, although the top weight is a good horse and $1.70 favourite with Ned’s.

Ok, I’m on. Put it on with Neds and split my investment by 3 so I can place it on all totes (Vic, NSW, QLD), much easier than trying to guess which state will pay the most should we be successful.?

Yep, up to you and Macca. Rich Charm disappointing a tad, Udyta stated she didn’t want to draw the inside 3 barriers, not sure if that was the reason.

I might be playing it safe but Oregon’s Day is my selection. Untried at the 2000m but after watching her last start win it suggests the extra 200 shouldn’t be an issue. Terrific win pulling away impressively late. Looking at all her form, the mare seems quite versatile in regards to settling positions and from barrier 2 J Byrne shouldn’t have an issue gaining a good position from the jump.

Likes the track and distance , goes very well on the soft and even if it dries out, the horse has won half his starts on a good track. Interestingly, Udyta Clarke resisted running in the G1 Goodwood this weekend and opted for Flemington. Clarke stated she didn’t want to draw barrier 1,2 or 3 down the straight but I’m willing to put my JJ hat on and back what I feel is a classy horse.
