Game over.
-
That kick went about eight metres!
-
If Hogan misses this I'm turning the TV off.
-
How far did Savage run?
-
That wasn't in the back.
-
The current contrition of the MCG is why reserves games aren't played there anymore.
-
When things aren't going his way Hogan does tend to drop his head a bit. His kicking is still a concern too.
-
They might be efficient but they aren't effective.
-
Suddenly there are more holding the ball decisions (mostly incorrect according to the rules) being paid today. Coincidence?
-
After all the other touchy holding the ball decisions then the Howe one not paid? That was more clear cut than the others. Complete incompetence.
-
Holding the ball again, umpires wrong. I'm with Leigh Matthews on this one.
-
The Geelong game feels like a distant dream.
-
Umpires almost as putrid as Melbourne.
-
Our decision making from marks is amazingly inept. It's the one time where no one can touch you, you have a nice five metre boundary of protection and time to make a decision yet we continually stuff it up. We either move too slowly, too quickly (when close to other players removing the advantage of having a five metre barrier) or just make the wrong decisions.
-
No, because an uninformed Alastair Clarkson whinged about it on TV.
-
I'm watching on TV, are St Kilda playing a loose man in defence?
-
Dawes is a poor man's Brad Miller.
-
He did the exact same cute kicks last week and Roos mentioned it as a problem during the week.
-
Dom Tyson is one of the most lazy players by foot I've ever seen. Disgraceful.
-
Could I have timed this comment any better?
-
Dawes has been good by foot so far.
-
They played what Clarkson said when he was on On The Couch regarding congestion and holding the ball. I couldn't have disagreed with him any more. Basically, he was saying that holding the ball for prior opportunity isn't paid enough which is rubbish. Why is it rubbish? Because players rarely have prior opportunity before they are tackled. The problem with congestion is firmly because so many players follow the ball around, not because holding the ball isn't being paid enough.
-
Yes, on Channel Seven.
-
I don't want to see Melbourne allow a loose player in defence, I want attacking football with multiple players always forward of the ball (this isn't soccer) providing multiple options to score at all times.

Holy hell football really has gone backwards in recent years. I'd forgotten how good that was to watch. The next year Daniher brought in that "run and carry" game plan and footy for me hasn't been the same since.
