  1. Not that brave, we will just have to wait and see as with all top players these days He loves Perth, coz his family is there, he actually finds the environment compared to Melbourne boring, (from quite a few sources), I know for a fact he is a big fan of the coffee culture here, live in same area and know which ones he likes to frequent
  2. To anybody who thinks we will eventually lose Jesse back to WA, he really likes Melbourne, didn't think much of Perth growing up, has settled well into the Melbourne lifestyle, especially the live music and coffee culture...has established really good friendships with JKH, James Harmes and Petracca....has total respect for one Nathan Jones and wants to give him the success he craves.........and wants to payback the club for the way they have looked after him during his back issues...don't think the money would be an issue with him....just got the feeling back in my arm after shaking hands with him and wishing him Happy Birthday on Friday
  3. I think you will find that if last year is anything to go by, Jones or Vince will be sent to the opposition gun midfielder rather than the other way around, with Viney getting the job now and gain dependent on the opponent, hence the need for Jones to build his running up to another level
  4. So what you are saying is that if 5 or 6 of our next level players actually improve out of sight during the pre season and the NAB challenge you wouldn't mind if Jones wasn't a lock for the first round?
  5. Nathan Jones had a bulging deformed disc in his neck that could be managed, but we hardly had any midfield replacements who were fit banging the door down at Casey. Even though we had a healthy list we now know Roos' opinion of some of the midfield 'talent' we had on our list at the start of last season. Now we have what we have all been crying out for for the last couple of seasons, real depth, true some of it is still unproven, but at least it will keep the 'locks' honest Oliver being one of those unproven
  6. There are differing opinions, not wrong opinions I haven't changed or twisted my words, I still stand by my opinion that finally we have reached a stage with the squad that nobody can be guaranteed a spot and you will have to earn it, hopefully both Nathan Jones and Jesse Hogan will be injury free, fully fit and in top form to be included in the 22 for the first game
  7. This is what I love about this site, I didn't say Hogan and Jones wouldn't be playing, I said the 'best' 22 will be on the park, that is the fittest and most in form, in the opinion of the coaching panel, not the supporters
  8. Serious answer - the 22 for Rd 1 will consist of the fittest and most in form players at that moment, as I stated in another post, the players are on notice, you have to earn your spot and perform consistently to keep it. You will also notice that on the club website report for the final training session at Maroochydore, Nathan Jones was praised for his improved field running, a best and fairest winner who has had to improve this part of his game to make sure he gets a game
  9. Personally I don't think anybody is a lock this year, but if you want to that's your choice
  10. Maybe, but let's wait and see
  11. Haven't been reading for a while so catch up with posts, I have spoken to the players about this season, everybody has been told there are no guarantees whether your name is Nathan Jones or Clayton Oliver, over the pre season and NAB cup games, you have to grab your chance, the 22 picked for game 1 will be the fittest and in form, no more players carrying injuries or getting games on reputation, if Oliver looks good enough he will get a game
  12. Song, can't quote, sad, absolutely brilliant reply, sitting laughing out loud in a café on Victoria St
  13. Song's ok --he always remains the same....and cue
  14. Gee I like and admire this post
  15. Careful BBO will think he has opened the wrong forum from his Favourites
  16. What's wrong Song, didn't get a name check?
  17. The only part of the excellent post I would take umbrage with, is that God talks to me
  18. You mean you're undecided? Perhaps he feels like he is sculpting when he writes. He chips away at formless stone until he achieves the "shape" of the story in his mind

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTJQuEAf2CU his nickname, as told to me by Josh Mahoney is "Pigdog" , Josh knows I watch Casey games told me to watch Aiden rattle a few ribs if I get the chance

I spoke to Aiden at training the other day, he is being primed for the VFL round 1 which is just over 3 weeks away, so not a while, and from what I have read/seen/heard etc about him he will be knocking on the door sooner rather than later

It's nioe to be amusing, you should try it some time Everybody entitled to an opinion except me, ah, nice to see I generated 3 or 4 posts, all about MFC right I would never support a team that dresses in blue and white squares, you must have the wrong person, look at my Twitter, Everton fan from way back, but then you never let facts get in the way of your vitriol Don't mind posts that are well balanced and offer a well thought out opinion, but just bashing is just that

Thought you didn't read my posts, change of heart obviously, not daring to ask, opening the door for ho hum

You have the wrong chap, never been on Ology, thought it was even worse than here when I looked at it If you need some negativity in your life, that is your problem And it is a forum, so we are all entitled to our opinions, so if I don't agree with something I am entitled to express it, yes or no? I have a look at all threads, just certain posters contributions I don't bother reading

I have been to quite a few AGM, most members sit on their hands, all talk Big business, sponsors and the TV channels pressured the AFL into acting,

The point I was trying to make, and the reason Mods on here have such a hard time, is posts like this tend to open the door for the pettiness. As posters on here have no input whatsoever into the drafting process, and the whole personnel has changed at the Club, I don't think there are any lessons to be learnt by anyone by raking over the coals one more time
