  1. And if the boot was on the other foot and we didn't play hard ball there would be 55 pages on here immediately
  2. And Dodoro said "he blinked first" http://www.gettyimages.com.au/detail/video/1800s-two-cowboys-shooting-killing-third-cowboy-in-stock-video-footage/527-175
  3. Yes they do, the players got banned for it, think the deal will be done, think the Lewis deal took over, reckon next years 2nd round unless of course there is one of the mega deals as being posted
  4. Yes the leaders should have but as for the ASADA statement, were they asked are you taking supplements or illegal supplements, are you being injected with anything, of course the answer would be yes to supplements all players take supplements of some sort, legal ones that is, they have to for their body to withstand the training, so for ASADA to say they answered No is [censored] what exactly were they asked?
  5. It is being reported they lied, where you there? All depends on what they were asked and how, as I said I have very little respect for any of the organisations involved because of their past records, inconsistency and political involvement
  6. I agree with you to a point, but you have young guys entering an environment which is more controlled than te military, some of te guys on here who serve (d) coud attest to that and if they don't follow or do what they are told there are consequences They are told who to associate with Swan, King, Martin They are told how to behave in public Terlich/Georgiou They are told what to and not to drink, Crossy had trouble with the Paleo Diet coz he was conditioned that some of the foods in the diet were no good for you Etc etc Yes they are advised on drugs but if you are assured everything is kosher, the club doctor doesn't have a problem, and it is not compulsory to participate ie Zahka then why 'rock the boat' It has been my opinion since day 1 that the players have been guilty of nothing more than being too naive and stupid in trusting and are the sscapegoats, nobody is going to convince me otherwise
  7. I still don't agree, they were all blinded or maybe that is deafened by the Golden Child who had returned to take them to ptemiership glory. They should have questioned him more? If not questioning is the 'crime' then so be it And how Reid has managed to escape all this will always be beyond me The rest was just a shambles by everybody and now politically they are just tidying it up so it can be confined to history, like the tanking we, Carlton and a few others did
  8. Yes simple answer to that but they should have questioned more but can understand why they didn't
  9. That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, same as I am mine, obviously you are not across my opinion of WADA
  10. Nice to see you agree with one of my points, if you weren't in such a hurry to point score, you would have seen I wrote from start to finish, I am no fan of how the AFL have handled this whole situation My stance on this whole situation is that the players were naive and stupid and should have asked more questions, whether their perormance on the field was enhanced is a matter of conjecture, I don't remember them winning the flag that year, and the comic book scenario for juiced up athletes is for them to blitz all comers My guilty people are Hird, Dank, Reid Robinson and senior management at the club and AFL
  11. Nice to see the usual Demonland puerile childish name calling responses to anybody (Robbo) who has the temerity to disagree with the group think If anybody thought a Swiss court was going to find against an organisation based in Switzerland, that brings money into the country, are surely the ones that may be 'deluded' It was the reason the whole process was set up this way, Google how many times it has overturned CAS decisions This whole thing has been a politically driven [censored] up from start to finish Hopefully once Watson hands back his Brownlow, which I think he will, just to put everything away, we can all forget this whole schamozzle Pity Watson is not a long limbed blonde tennis player, might have had his ban reduced, consistency bat [censored]
  12. You mean it reflects that I have a different opinion to others which may or may not be correct
  13. Still waiting for somebody to convince me otherwise I think Taylor takes more pleasure out of finding late picks, such as Oscar Mc and Jayden Hunt, we are stocked up on young talent, somebody of Hibberd's experience is obviously first priority but who knows
  14. I have answered this, my opinion a political decision
  15. I don't hold people in contempt, I leave that to others on this forum I have an attitude that this is footy, nobody dies, but I also have strong opinions on a lot of issues in footy, if other posters don't like them I don't really care, as long as I am allowed to express them Everybody is also allowed an opinion, but if I don't agree with it, I will post why I don't agree, don't mind a bit of robust discussion and there are a lot of posters on here who can do exactly that without resorting to name calling etc which is what a forum is about I just find 'hate' too strong a word when you are talking about footy, perhaps it is a generational thing, coz I hear outside in day to day as well, which I find rather sad On Hibberd to stay on topic, if we get a deal done, great, but I am sure it will be a deal that both clubs will think of as a win As for the drugs issue, the fact the pretty blonde tennis player had her ban reduced says it all for me about the drug agencies
  16. No go on explain it, I like a robust discussion, so where I am wrong in my opinion, the appeal was politicially motivated in my opinion, the 'hater's on here wanted it to happen they didn't forsee it........do you have concrete proof that it wasn't politically motivated? I am not strawmanning your position, on the contrary you seem to be doing that to me
  17. The general consensus, from a 'pedantic' point of view, was that the issue was over, it was then revived politically with the subsequent consequences, when you say Demonland foresaw it, what you meant to say was that all the 'haters' on here wanted it to happen
  18. I saw that he said it, but it is still not a good look in my opinion, yes everybody would get over it, I think Hibberd will be a good addition to the list, I also trust the FD to get it right, if we weren't interested Mahoney would have stood in front of the cameras and said so, why drag it out?
  19. It was like anything in life and footy, it could have gone either way Hopefully, to soothe your brow, Josh Mahoney will read this tonight and take it on board
  20. If you think that fine, you are entitled to your opinion, we'll see how the trade period pans out, and then we can all play the usual game of Demonland Kings of Hindsight
  21. Unfortunately neither of you are part of Essendon's trade week team, if we land Hibberd it will be a deal that is suitable to both clubs, nobody foresaw that the EFC players would be banned, it was supposedly done and dusted, Port must feel exactly the same about Ryder
  22. Gee......the conspiracy theory is alive and well on Demonland....it is trade week, all clubs have a list and what they would like to get/offer, that is why trade 'week' lasts so long, negotiation
  23. No, that was my point that there will be more than one offer between the clubs, both will go away and look at all scenarios, I would be very surprised if the deal ended up as just one pick
  24. So you would be happy to burn a player who has nominated us as his club of choice, [censored] off the new coach coz he is the one who has obviously pushed out the boat for Hibberd, just to prove we have a bigger dick at the trade table?
