A Day at the Races
Vega: Vega is the 5th brightest star in the night sky and at only 25 light years away is one of the brightest stars in our neighborhood. Vega has been extensively studied by astronomers and is regarded by many as the most important star in the sky next to the sun. Some believe it may be the most likely place to find life outside our solar system. In 12000 BC it was the North Pole Star. In Alaska, Canada and most of Europe Vega never sets. Unlike other stars, it has a unique bluish-white color. Based on an observed excess emission of infrared radiation, likely to be the result of collisions between objects in an orbiting debris field, Vega appears to have a disk of dust. Stars that display an infrared excess due to dust emission are termed Vega-like stars. .....so, now you know why its called Vega Magic. ....yes i have a slow day..

A Day at the Races
Was at the Caulfield Cup that day when Delta Blues and Pop Rock took the quinella. We walked past the stable before the race and there was about 20 Japanese people inside jumping up and down.....me and my mate really noticed it and put some bets on. Did well that day.

God 7-1? Did Messi get a transfer to there!?? I sure will My apologies DZ i thought you picked Tottenham (you did last week?) Anyway the point was we got a few winners with one leg to go today. Pity about Penrith....that was really a shock result and i thought you were right on the money there.

A Day at the Races
Yep, right on the money Macca. I thought i was lucky to witness Sunline and Makbe Diva, but these 2 are in a class of their own esp Winx. Speaking of champions the races are on at Ballarat today....DK Weir anyone? I notice he only has a couple in today, both favourites in race 1 and 4. Not paying that much but multi them up with a few other place getters or a fav from somewhere else perhaps. Some great wins yesterday. Well done team.

So the overnight results are in and well done to both Macca and DZ for correctly selecting their margin bets. South Africa to beat Argentina 13+, and it was actually right on the margin with a score of 13pts the difference. The EPL score was Tottenham 3 Fullam 1 so Tottenham the win and +2.5 goals I picked up a multi including those selections so the thread is off to a good start.

I just sometimes think finding 3 or 4 sports winners can be easier than racing. I feel there are a lot more unknowns for instance as you said today, 1st up...we dont know how forward the trainer has prepared the horse. Well thats exactly right, you dont. The margin is really the hard part. But it will give you the odds. If you get odds around those you mentioned in a mutli with a few legs....its a decent return. I wont make the 1.00am, but i have a look in the morning.

There was a cash out offer there all game........but when the swans got to 20 points in front , it disappeared......ok fair enough, but then GWS kicked a goal to put it back to 14pts. I expected the cash out to reappear, but it didnt. Harsh I have one multi left going into your rugby leg as the last leg, so all is not lost. Do you know what time that is on?
