Monkey Business
Hey Layzie, thanks man. We did it just for some fun and were interested in peoples best bets to do with any kind of sport across the world over a given weekend. We are all pretty easy going here and there are no arguments and egos. Feel free to join in the fun and select a pick or 2. Just try and get them in by a Friday evening if you can. We also have the now infamous Day at the Races thread, which if nothing else will be good entertainment during the upcoming Spring Carnival.

Yeap...thats a good point, a couple of decent legs. Thats why i always liked under 15.5 either side cause you always get at least 2.60 and it covers the draw. And with odds like 400/1 you only need get one and your in front for years. Many free hits after that. Pity Storm could get the job done in Slaters last H&A game. Did alright till halftime. Reload again tomorrow. I like the other picks.

A Day at the Races
Well thats what i thought Macca! Honestly, do people actually think horses have a human psyche? I just thought that was such an odd thing to say...."He was backed to beat Winx, but got smashed.....he wont get over that." ?

A Day at the Races
Ah yeah, Hartnell is not in the final field. Just saw that. I want at least 500 then DZ!
-
A Day at the Races
To be honest im not really a Hartnell fan and he probably wont win. I just thought i noticed something different about his run. He is a class horse. Im still on Vega Magic, even though the bookies are taking him on a bit they said today. We also know why hes called Vega now!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Ok, so what if Hogan decides to go.....(after reading this thread) Your all assuming he goes to Freo and they are no good anyway so it doesnt matter. Perhaps Freo isnt a good fit. He could go anywhere maybe even goes to West Coast. Who would you play on him? Would you like us to go and play WC again over there next year for a spot in the finals and come up against Kennedy Darling and Hogan? Do you really want to shore up a big rival clubs forward line? Hawthorn target players 2 years in advance and go to work on them. They throw the kitchen sink at them and are very good at doing it. Would you people who want to get rid of Jesse, just because we lost to StKilda, like him to go to Hawthorn?? Your not thinking about the big picture really are you?

A Day at the Races
Well i guess your right, but he was sure flying at the end of the the last start Hartnell. Somebody on SEN said Kentamari will not get over being pantsed by Winx and will be unlikely to win..... I think Le Romain might be a standout winner for a trifecta? Binman will probably best bet him as well! Hi Binman!!

A Day at the Races
Well you all know who im gonna pick....... Caulfield: Race 8 No 3 Voodoo Lad $3.50 Back to his favorite track, barrier 3 and Weir has him flying atm. Clearly the one to beat in that field.

A Day at the Races
Can somebody explain to me why Hartnell is 13/1? Because i have no idea.....it returned the other week in red hot form and was only 3 lengths off them....? 1400 is a good distance for him ...no??

Monkey Business
I got a parking ticket in Rowena Pde for 97 so that took the edge of any collects over the weekend. The MCG Carpark was full which i didnt expect for a GWS game. Might pay you to park in East Melb next year Macca! Yes there were some very close results again with Melbourne playing too well which was nice for a change. The English soccer legs were also pretty close and i still think they are good margin bets as far as margin betting goes. I think the footy finals in a few weeks will all be pretty close with maybe 1 blowout. So perhaps some good legs there. The NRL is making no sense whatsoever. Too hard atm. High placed team and finals bound St George lost 0-38 at home to the lowly Canterbury Bulldogs? Go figure. Onwards we go.

Yes i had a terrible one last year, went for 7 months....a stint in hospital etc etc. had the shot this year, and still got it. I guess its not quite as bad so thats something. Dropped my omelette this morning which meant i passed my fitness test for the football as i managed to repeatedly yell profanities for at least 10 seconds.

Anyway, hopefully off to watch the Dees victory tomorrow. Ive been a bit crook with the flu, so ill have to pass a fitness test by lunchtime for the trip down. Go Dees!
