AFL Trade Radio
Agreed A bit like the 'fire sale' of Jack Watts. If 33 for Ben Brown happens then it's a fairly similar result.

AFL Trade Radio
Tallied together that's 836 points ~ Pick 22. Is that North's price for Ben Brown?

TMac on the Trade Table?
Depends on how they view their stocks of other talls? Maybe Wright is going to need some help?

Farewell Mitch Hannan
Couldn't agree more and I'd add that judging players only on what you can see via the broadcast is also limited. You get to see 'what' they're doing but not always the 'why'. You also miss a lot of the hard work that goes into defensive patterns etc.

Sadly I have to agree. It's where we're currently at and what we need to change. Good list, poor team.

That could go both ways; he's been there and knows what they're like.

Jack Higgins
It's been suggested here on Demonland that Jack was a St.Kilda supporter as a youth, so it could be an emotional decision...the old club colours, the team song, the smell of a freshly singed dwarf.

Saints currency in picks, as things currently stand, is 17, 64, 77, 93 Pick 17 should get it done, quick and clean.

When Essendon's a central cog it gums up the works.

AFL Trade Radio
Yep, and re Daniher they could have got pick nine in the 2019 AFL draft along with the Swans first-round pick this year. Instead they got pick 7. Dildodoroed themselves.

Farewell Oscar McDonald
Yes, would give them some cover. Adelaide's Pick 56 would be nice and after-all it is their 8th pick in the draft. Think @Rolling Stone's on the money of it's Collingwood.
-
Farewell Oscar McDonald
For interest's sake, the current pick currency at Adelaide and Collingwood stands at: Adelaide: 1, 9, 22, 23, 33, 40, 50, 56, 66, 80 Collingwood: 16, 39, 42, 75, 92 Whereas we have: 26, 43, 68, 69, 89 I wonder what the FD can wrangle out of the above?

Trump v. Biden
Regardless of whatever side of the political spectrum you may personally lean to, both 70-year old candidates should be congratulated on maintaining an election for several days.

Harmes going into the midfield against Brisbane was instrumental to our late comeback in that game.

Contracted through to the end of 2022 according to @Lucifer's Hero's latest update. Agree that he's an important part of out spine moving forward. However with B.Brown, Weideman and Jackson as our KPF stocks I think Petty slots in as a KPB.

Well played @chook fowler, not many footy forums can boast the linguistic magnificence of Demonland.

Geelong’s continued assistance from state, federal, and local govt
This is no joke, I was in a meeting with a Labour powerbroker a few years back. He apologised as he had to take a call from the State Premier. The upshot of the call was that that funds were being allocated not to healthcare (as the powerbroker wanted) but instead to Kardinia Park redevelopment. The powerbroker challenged the Premier "How the F is that going to help the health of people in Geelong?", Premier's response "Mate, there's no votes in health".The powerbroker's response to that comment is unprintable.

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
From our perspective may need the trade assets (picks) for other prioritised targets and/or it could be a salary cap issue (either now or the implications for next year when several key contracts come up for renewal). For Hawthorn it's a neat fit, I.Smith out and T.Phillips in.

The Andrew Phillips Thread
Was against trading in McKernan as a "break glass in case of emergency" option because I don't see him as being a significantly material upgrade on making do with Tomlinson or Weideman. Whilst not wildly excited by Phillips, I do see him as a more suitable short-term insurance option for the genuine ruck position.
