  1. Other than Weideman (who could still be a player), all of the listed players were drafted 3rd Round or lower. You can hardly expect to hit on a KPP taken with a low pick - with the exception of ruckman, good talls are overwhelmingly drafted early.
  2. Perhaps I misheard, but I reckon he said Jackson is right in the mix at pick 3. I think Twomey must have heard a few rumours, because he was very quick to ask the Jackson question.
  3. And if he's any good by then we'll get a kings ransom in return. We've seen this before (see Watts/Naitanui). With early picks you should always be in the business of getting the best talent, regardless of position. Then back yourselves in to create a culture that makes them want to stay.
  4. I remember when a significant portion of draft watchers on here wanted us to take Jayden Laverde because of his electric highlights package. Similarly, most here thought Parish was a can't miss prospect and were upset when we drafted a fat ranga at pick 3 instead of him. I love the draft. I love picking my favourites. But let's not pretend we have a clue how any of these guys will go, especially if you're forming strong opinions off highlights packages.
  5. Yes please. Absolute jet. Get the feeling he'll make some teams regret passing on him, especially if he slips out of the top 10.
  6. He's Geelong's backline coach. That unit outperforms their individual quality.

I'll stick my neck out and agree here as well.
  8. Wouldn't want Jack back on the field in red and blue, but would love to have him back around the club when he's hung the boots up.
  9. Throw all the $$$ at Matty Scarlett. Fat chance he'd even consider leaving Geelong, but getting him would go a long way to helping us with our defensive issues.
  10. It says in the below article that he can, but from what I've seen I'd rather he just focused on being as damaging as possible forward. In the few times I've seen him, he's one of those small forwards that looks dangerous whenever they're near the ball. https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-08-01/selling-cows-wish-chips-and-the-tiger-mentoring-top-draft-prospect
  11. Point is he doesn't look undersized, like Spargo. The comparison makes no sense. I agree with everything Dazzle has said. He's exactly the sort of player we should be looking at, especially if we can trade down.
  12. Waaayyyy faster than Spargo, kicks goals, and isn't as short. They both have blonde hair though?
  13. It's a strength of his, no problems there.

I think there are a few that'd be dropped before Jonesy for those guys. Chandler isn't even close.

Who do you have taking his spot?

Nothing. Just doing his job well.
  17. I was at the last two rounds of the championship. He looked great in both games. One of those small forwards that give you the feeling something is going to happen whenever they're near the ball. Knows how to find the goals, is really clean and applies great pressure. It goes without saying he's the sort of player we need in our forward line. No idea where he's projected to be drafted.
  18. Keeping my eye on Ash, Gould, Flanders, Serong and Stephens of those listed. It was my first time watching most of these guys on Friday, however I though Green looked the best of the lot.
  19. This guy is an animal. Put on a clinic today. He's more Shannon Hurn than Jeremy McGovern though.
  20. Noticed him in last year's carnival. He's hard to miss! Was the standout KP player on the ground vs Vic Metro.
  21. To regular Casey watchers, is this Lefau kid a draft chance? Only caught the last quarter but man he has some toe.
  22. Wanna bet? $20 says May is a Demon this time tomorrow.
  23. Sam McClure. Ignore.
  24. We'll get 2 first round picks for Hogan. That would be about right in my view. May is worth pick 5 to us, at this point in the side's development. You draft kids with high picks in the hope they will get you to this point, high picks are of less value now we are here. Players that fill immediate weak points in our team are worth more than just about any draft pick.
