  1. I think someone mentioned this earlier but it's hardly surprising i know for a fact we have inquired and spoken to Gaff, Shuey and Selwood in the last couple of seasons, it's just the nature of footy these days, alot of clubs speak to a lot of players to try and make sure they can improve their list as much as possible i reckon we're a sneaky chance of landing Scott Selwood if he chose to come home, we could offer him a little more coin that some of the contenders would and hopefully we will be a side that is clearly on the rise
  2. I believe the following games, if all goes to planned, are winnable. Highlighted are the games i think we should win round 1 vs GCS round 2 vs GWS round 3 vs Crows round 4 vs Richmond round 8 vs bulldogs round 9 vs Port round 10 vs Collingwood Round 11 vs Stkilda Round14 vs WCE Round 15 vs drug cheats round 16 vs Lions round 17 vs Stkilda round 18 vs Collingwood round 19 vs Norf round 20 vs Bulldogs round 21 vs Carlton round 23 vs Giants So 7 games i think we should be able to win, and the rest there is no excuse to not go close to winning if not win imo.
  3. We know that ASADA called two different medical experts during the trail, i believe they would have focused on two points during this. point 1, the EFC are claiming they used thymomodulin, rather than Thymosin Beta 4 to boost their immune systems. I believe ASADA would argue that earlier EFC have claimed they knew they didn't take anything illegal but didn't know what they took, now all of a sudden they know what they took presumable because of the effects of Thymomodulin, ASADA would argue that you don't run a program to boost the immune system without extensive testing and results and records of these dating back over multiple seasons that suggest that a supplements program of this scale is needed, and ask Essendon to present those to back up their claims. the second point i think they would have made is related to the soft tissues injuries, the club suffered a mass of soft tissue injuries over the course of a couple of years there which is believed to be consistent with TB4, also the players grew noticeably in size during the period, something that Thymomodulin wouldn't cause. we know Essendon and Hird were willing to go to court to prevent something within the interviews reaching the trial because they fought so hard to have the investigation but more specifically that part of the investigation thrown out, i think there is every chance at least one of the players has decided to simply look out for his own best interests.
  4. Dank seems like a full blown butter, nearly reaching picket fence levels if someone says Jimmy in the same sentance as owines
  5. Personally I'm happy for Mitch, Good on him.
  6. A loss is a loss, we go in planning to win every game, a close loss isn't good enough anymore.
  7. I'd still have dawes ahead of pedo and fitzy, he will work a lot better with Hogan than he did solo
  8. North Melbourne inquired about Kent during the trade period and were told to buzz off
  9. I saw Dawes give Allison a spray basically because Allison told him to get on the mark and he was shitty he'd just been beaten in a one on one by Grimes. didn't see the Wack but may have been up the other end, seemed a very grumpy few boys out there today, Roosy even didn't seem impressed with a few questioning his umpiring decisions at times.
  10. Agree on all but Col, i wasn't so impressed by Col today, still just doesn't seem 100% right to me.
  11. I don't think the spray was about the decision as much as the indecision, the spray seemed to be around the fact that he didn't commit and just go, he hesitated and because of that the switch didn't come off and resulted in a turnover.
  12. That's about my thoughts too, he is a pretty solid player, i reckon he'll be best 22 and play his role pretty well
  13. I thought he was pretty solid the whole way through, if i was picking my round 1 team based on the last few sessions i have been too he is in it.
  14. i have been told multiple times, Petracca was taken at 2 because it was seen pick 1 was between him and McCartin publicly and the club knew they'd get Brayshaw as well so they played along, Brayshaw was the one we would have taken if we had the choice because Paul Roos wants Genuine mids, not flankers who can play in the middle, plus Angus played with Tyler Roos and trained with the MFC so the club and the recruiters have had a really good up close look at the kid. having said that the same person told me we rated Issac Heeney as the best player in this draft pool and that's why we threw pick 2 up for him before we had secured pick 3 for frawley.
  15. I saw Terls early on, he did the warm up then spoke to the trainers and then i don't remember seeing him again, may have pulled up a bit sore.
  16. I wonder if Essendon are considering recruiting K-hunt as a top up player? common interests and all that.
  17. I would like to think, the club would have sat all the players down in a room, Doc reid would have explained to them exactly what they were going to be injected with, told them he had assurances that all of the substances were above board and there would be no lingering health issues associated with them, and explain exactly what benefit they see these injections providing. clearly either none of that has happened or they have lied to the players. either way i'd suggest the club doctor is responsible.
  18. Some more observations kicking out of the backline in general has improved but some of the decision making was shocking at times, Garland tried to switch at one point, turnover goal, then Dunn handballed in the pocket rather than kicked, caused a stoppage, goal. Nathan Jones gave both a good spray afterwards. The Toump is clearly quicker than he was last year and actually looks a little dangerous with ball in hand, he is working really hard to get more involved. Salem looks like he has the potential to be really really good in the back line role, he was playing very well at one point there. Dean kent was the real standout today for me besides maybe Salem and Jones, he has pace, he is tough and knows how to kick multiple goals, i am very optimistic about what he can offer this year, some of the run he provided today was great.
  19. sure, if all of the directions lead to retirement, i reckon he needs a miracle now.
  20. the thing i didn't realise about stretch until today is that he has an inside game, i had him pegged for a really good outside runner but he can win his own ball as well. having said that i'd be extremely surprised if he played round 1, i think Brayshaw is in the same boat, the kids have a bit to learn. Brendan Mcartney is already a massive get, he was hounding Watts today about getting on his bike and getting to more contests, saying that if he lifts his workrate he will go to the next level as a player.
  21. Throw in the biggest of all their fish dd jeremey Cameron, kid will have every club chasing hard
  22. Just one game guys and give white some credit he was seriously impressive.
