  1. Mahoney and co. might be working their magic in the background. The thought of Kelly at the MFC is amazing... but we surely couldnt get both he and Lever? Wouldnt have enough to trade, for starters.
  2. The Draft and Trading board is going to be great this year. Great players possibly on the move (Lever, Kelly), we are a destination club finally and we own our 1st rounder unlike last season. But whats even greater is that it isnt open yet! And hopefully isnt until our last game is finished (ie. the Grand Final)
  3. Lever 1st Frost 27th Oscar 33rd Enough said. edit - well not enough said, they do play different roles. Didnt expect Oscar to be too high as our main tall back.
  4. Jake Melksham showed his worth, tightening his control on Dayne Zorko after the Lion was prolific in the opening term. Zorko finished with 26 disposals and a goal but his influence was limited after the first change, while Melksham had an impact himself as he picked up 29 disposals, a goal and 472m gained. The Melk rules.
  5. BOOKMARKED DONT LET US DOWN KURT
  6. The metres gained king and averaging 28 touches off half back combined with his immense courage.... surely will be AA. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-16/all-australian-40man-squad-whos-in-the-mix-from-your-club Michael Hibberd: Missed the first four games due to an Achilles injury, but the former Bomber has been one of the competition's best defenders this season. Hibberd has been one of the recruits of the year, with the attacking defender averaging a career-high 28 disposals and ranking No.1 in the AFL for average metres gained per match (566.9m).
  7. Yup his finishing is terrible Hes kicked 20 goals 32 behinds this season. And god knows how many missed everything or fell short.
  8. Her mail is better than anyones. He definitely met with us.
  9. The goals he kicked from outside 50 were so effortless. He didnt even really need to wind up, and he kicked them with ease. He has a beautiful boot on him and I bet he kicks a bag of 5 soon enough. And hats off to Goody for finding the perfect role for him.
  10. So I am gonna assume he will be in the AA team. We are on the verge of finals and he has been phenomenal. If they put Howe or that Docherty bloke from 5 win Carltank in ahead of him the selectors should be hung.
  11. 12 goals in his last 5 games. 10 straight games with at least 1 goal. Anyone still think a 2nd round pick was too much? This guy is a professional and the perfect team player.
  12. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/08/10/you-re-a-coward-if-you-boo-james-hird-robbo The only coward I see is the head footy writer at the Herald Sun who protected Hird during the drug saga and was a cheerleader for the disgraced Essendon Football Club. If only the term 'fake news' was around during that time, Robbo would have been crowned the king.
  13. Oliver, Petracca and Kelly in the midfield. Talk about the perfect blend. Three young superstars all with their own rare and incredible skillsets. Ok Ill stop dreaming now....
  14. You think his teammates like him? He was the captain during the whole drug saga, and his 'leadership' was a disgrace. Good riddance.
  15. Surely we are going hard at Kelly? Surely?
  16. A star key backman is the final piece of the puzzle for us. This would be huge. MFC 2017 1st round pick + MFC 2018 1st round pick for Jake Lever and Adelaides 2017 2nd rounder Id then like to see us trade back into the first round as I feel sorry for Jason Taylor who is being starved of 1st rounders to weave his magic with on draft day.
  17. Wouldn't be in our best 22 even if we did get him. Would just be depth.
  18. We have been smashed all season by big forwards And this week, General Patton and Jeremy Cameron await. Oh and Rory Lobbe.
  19. Agreed, I would give him a miss. We have a bunch of half backs, and they are way better than him (Hibbo, Hunt, Salem with Wagner and Joel Smith coming through) We need to keep some draft picks anyway for our list profile. Jones would cost us too high a pick. Jason Taylor needs to get a shot at the draft, its what he does best. If we bring in Lever, we will lose another couple of first rounders too.
  20. The Zak Jones interview thats been posted. Will be a Demon 100%.
  21. Wow. If Dusty leaves them for Sydney (or anyone else) the meltdown from Tiger supporters will trigger a magnitude 10 earthquake.
  22. Saw this too, it was on last Sunday Footy Show. His reply was a dead giveaway he will likely be a Demon next season. I just shrugged my shoulders as I am not sure how he fits in when we are loaded with half backs and not sure he can play in the midfield. Though we may have plans to move Hunt to a wing.
  23. Jason Taylor can make any pick look prized. Pick 12-16 in his hand is like gold. And how many hammy injuries has Lever had this year, three? Are they related to his ACL graft? No way in hell we are giving away two first rounders for him without a sweetener back.
  24. We arent giving up two valuable assets for Lever. In either of those scenarios, we will be getting a 2nd rounder back.
