Far out he was BRILLIANT. Shades of Schwarzs 1994 finals explosion. Unbelievable stuff!

  3. The time is drawing nearer. The beast will be unleashed in his first ever final in front of 90K Friday night at the MCG. Having played just 7 games this season and struggling with for the 12 months with a frustrating foot problem, JV might just be more angry than usual ... if thats even possible. Adds another layer of intrigue to an already tantalizing game.
  4. Is Oscar underrated? At 22 years of age he held down full back in 14 win team, and had the increased pressure of his gun key defender partner Jake Lever going down for the season. They had just started to click and suddenly we bring in the very inexperienced Joel Smith to cover Levers role before the emergence of Frosty. Your thoughts on O Mac and how he is tracking and how good he will be in 2019 and beyond.
  5. Seems like he and Flip are busts. Bring in Preuss, have Weid and T Mac as relief rucks when needed and we should be set. Then theres Bradtke too, though he would only be a break open in case of extreme emergency and a few years off playing senior footy youd think.
  6. Agreed 100%. We cant go in to next season with Max King and Filipovic as our backup ruckmen.
  7. MELBOURNE has emerged as an unlikely suitor for lightly played Kangaroos ruckman Braydon Preuss. Preuss played eight games last year and threatened Todd Goldstein's status as North Melbourne's No.1 big man, but failed to play a senior match in 2018 despite dominating at VFL level. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-08-30/dees-emerging-as-surprise-suitor-for-big-roo
  8. Onya Bernie, You will always be linked with Roosy, PJ and the rest of the crew that selflessly came to this club when it was at rock bottom to help turn it around and make it something great again, and you succeeded. TO BERNIE!

I could have sworn he was listed at 197cm when he was drafted.
  10. Hes played 15 games for 12 wins and 3 losses.

None. He said just a few days ago that Gaff would definitely be a Demon.
  12. You cant teach this sort of timing, decision making, skill and instinct. Every club will regret passing on this kid... should have been a top 10 pick imho.
  13. Wines - fat, slow, poor foot skills . Couldn't care less we dont have him tbh Hope he enjoyed Mad Monday though

64 goals, 88 behinds over his career. Its been a problem for him since day 1 and hasn't been improved in 5 years... he was terrible in front of goal last season, and just about as bad this season. No doubt hes a big talent, but he makes Tom Bugg look like Plugger Lockett when it comes to goal kicking. His kicking in general play is also pretty bloody bad.

The offseason just got more exciting.... cant wait to see what Mahoney and co. have up their sleeve if Gaff really is going elsewhere.
  16. Beautiful. Hes a star. Get him and Lever back next season into a team with some finals experience and hopefully Viney on the park all season... look out.
  17. What replied to Pates's topic in Melbourne Demons
How good was he today.,.. wowee oh oh boy! The stats look good but what about the attack on the ball , urgency and aerial work and most surprisingly, the athleticism. If we trade this kid to the Pies for that spud Darcy Moore as was rumoured a month ago, I will spew.
  18. We have Jake Lever.
  19. Yeah BBP.... youre spot on. It is based on finals for the top 8, and not the ladder finish. Still, the Crows look like receiving pick 12 at best.
  20. Another reason to celebrate our finals breaking drought... our first round pick that Adelaide owns this season will be 14th at best if we knock off GWS, or 11th if we lose. But with Gold Coast sure to get a top 5 compensation pick for Tom Lynch, the pick will fall another spot so if we get the job done on Sunday the Crows will likely get pick 15. Thats a great result for us despite Levers unfortunate injury. That win vs Adelaide a month ago was huge.
  21. It really is ridiculous. I know stats arent everything, but his 2018 numbers are almost identical to David Schwarzs phenomenal 1994 season. Unfortunately Jesse wont get the chance this year to tear the finals apart like The Ox did, but he will get plenty of chances in the future. Its bloody hard to find a gun 195cm, 100 kg forward ... and hes still only 23! Talk of trading him is absurd.

We will trump at least one of these teams and get the guy we want. Whether thats Gaff, Shiel or someone we dont even know about yet. We are THE destination club now... well along with Hawthorn who to their credit do nothing but win year in and year out and don't bottom out.

Find that hard to believe.. thats an insane offer. If it is true he will 100% be going to North.

Does he remind anyone else of Kurt Tippett in the way he moves and and takes the ball at the highest point? Expecting floods of 'no hes nothing like Tippett'. ?
