We essentially gave up Lachie O'Brien & Liam Stocker for Lever Not the worst thing ever but still no player is worth that unless they are elite. It was the IT thing to do trade two first round picks. Thought he was okay in first half. The whole backline was dysfunctional May, Lever & Smith all flying for the same ball. Cost us 2 or 3 goals on poor positioning.

Yep hes been battling through a relationship break down. It has been very hard on him and no excuse but contributing factor to a few things. Roosy, the club and most journos out there know this. I agree with everything you said bar the Howe exchange. Howe is a crowd seller and does things knowone else in the competition can do. Yes he also needs improving on his defensive game and work rate but he is way above Melksham. Would be total disaster if he was anywhere near the Melksham trade. I think he is going up to the sunshine state though, a reasonable deal would be straight swap with Redden or even Aish plus a draft pick also guys don't count Aish out of Melbourne ..... Melksham is a defensive midfielder who is going to average around 20 possessions a game. He will never be your 30 + mid. He can do a defensive tagging job if needed and used as a half forward. If we do get him he is not going to be a walk up starter he will have to earn his spot. He is already better then M Jones,Mckenzie,Bail,Toumpas but he will have to fight for his spot with the likes of Vince,Brayshaw,Jones,Brayshaw,Pettracca,Tyson,Harmes,Viney and co. I trust Goodwin and if we give up a 3rd rounder in a shallow draft it's really not much at all. Deep breaths everyone trust the process.

The 4 year deal is around 300 - 385k a year. He will be on same at the Bombers minus two years. It's more the extra two years for security he is waying up. We are offering a 3rd round pick,Essendon will play hardball and wan't 2nd round. Watch this space.

The harsh criticism of Hogan is way off. Yes he got beaten by Hurley but no means warrant going back to Casey or that he belevies his own hype. Let's take a step back, he is 20 year old forward in his first real AFL season playing as a CHF who experts say takes 5 years to become consistent. The real problem in my opinion is he needs bloody help how about Mr C Dawes taking some contested marks or any marks and kicking some goals on the 600k pay packet he is on.

Salem showed allot more then just that goal he kicked. He came on against Syd and did some nice things in the forward half. He done some classy things in his games mixed with his hard edge style and willingness to compete, cant say the same for Jimmy.
