  1. Simply because we never make it a media issue
  2. Need to score to win Come on
  3. Originally known as the Reservoir line... Very traditionally Magpie country Went to school in East Reservoir... only Demons supporter at the school as I remember
  4. One of my favourite players but hell does he ever butcher set shots for goal. (Nail em Riv's)
  5. Agree Tonight due to the weather it won't be a true test so hopefully luck falls our way. Lose and it's likely Carlton followed by a draining game in Brisbane heat and a GF against a fresh Collingwood. (Possible but unlikely) Win and the Stars and Moon will follow Go Dees
  6. A pity that Turner didn't have more time to establish himself in the side. Just have to back the selection committee on Hibberd being the better choice. The game will be decided by midfield turnovers. Let's hope we have less
  7. De Goey worries me. He has that X factor like Petracca We must kick straight.... 10 goals 3 or similar ratio

GWS v the loser of Port v Brisbane could be a great game. Can't see GWS winning but they are hot (Needless to say I can't see the Saints beating GWS)
  9. Not necessarily. Many clubs see ruckmen as a necessary evil. Sure you take an injury risk but it's all about balance and rotations. Realistically it's an admission that neither ruckman has a role forward and with 2 "fresh" ruckmen they will attempt to play Max closely and nullify him.
  10. I wonder if they have now reduced the squad to allow players like Jefferson etc some time off

Lynch looks to be on a heavily back ended deal which would make for a problem unless Tigers kick in reasonable dollars. With the wonderful benefit of hindsight Lobb might have been a better target but Grundy at $650k was seemingly too good to pass up
  12. They've added in a chance of hail on Thursday in the Bom forecast just issued
  13. Had some decent games this year. First half of next season should give a better base for assessment. One concern is that Casey as a team have probably peaked and we will see turnover both of older AFL and VFL players next season. If this occurs how do you assess a forward when the ball is not getting down there. Perhaps some time down back?
  14. Spargo is firming as a possible selection in place of TMac in my opinion. (assuming wet/greasy conditions) Looking windy as well. Not great for our high forward bombs Pity that Schache hasn't come on.
  15. Jayden might have been a chance for a game up forward this coming Thursday but I agree that he did the right thing in his move West

  17. Leaves a bad taste to finish a year like that. I have always liked the VFL comp and have spent many a pleasant afternoon at the old suburban grounds along with the trek to Casey. Hard to keep up the interest if MFC are going to treat the team like this. There's a balance and they missed it by a country mile

Doesn't that just prove what we already knew... Points value doesn't equal the equivalent pick value
  19. Unfortunately it has become obvious that the AFL has no interest whatsoever in the VFL as a competition. The introduction of the interstate clubs has been a disaster for the Victorian comp
  20. you can't take 6 AFL players out of a team and expect continuity. Lucky we are so close
  21. Dam wall is breaking it seems ?
  22. bad turnover by Casey and easy goal to the Dogs

    Is Grundy Zava ?
  24. Collingwood's ins and outs: IN: Dean, Longmire, Mulvogue OUT: Ashwin, McInnes, Carmichael From the CFC website: The side is littered with AFL listed talent, with Ash Johnson and Nathan Kreuger the spearheads up forward, while Trent Bianco and Trey Ruscoe have been consistent ball-winners across the back half.
