This is classic Dogs under Bevo. Needs a ‘backs against the wall, us against the world’ mentality to get them up. It’s consistency that’s there issue.

I saw that. Disco’s got a lot more exposure to what we want from him, and has had a taste of AFL pressure. I think he’s going to be useful, and I believe the club is very pleased with his progress.

It’s a split second movement when it suits them - but now also one of the contributing factors in that split second is that 3 years ago the tackler facilitated a youth workshop. Well, that should be easy to manipulate at their discretion in the future - which is exactly what they want. The social contract of equity and justice between the AFL and its audience is starting to tear. They’ve become obsessed with public rhetoric, that they then have to find increasingly inane ways to work around to support their broader goals (making money). It’s becoming so transparent that it’s damaging the relationship I have with the sport.

I don’t know why anyone is surprised at this. The AFL is only in the business of making money. They spend their time and effort creating a facade of equity and fairness - but neither of those things are actually in their best interest. Cameron doesn’t play = less money. Therefore Cameron plays. Ditto Maynard. Ditto Cripps.

North should move to play at Geelong. With the population growth happening to the West of Melbourne, Geelong, and Surf Coast it makes a lot of sense, and also… It would really annoy Geelong, and that’s always a good thing.

Every time I watch a game at GMHBA I wonder when we are going to get $500 million to build a stadium at Casey that accommodates 40,000 people, of which we allow only 500 opposition supporters?

That was 50. I don’t understand the 50 anymore. A player goes near an imagined space and it’s 50, but a player tries to hurt someone who’s trying to mark the ball and it’s not. The AFL has that wrong.

It’s good for footy, and by good for footy I mean good for the Dees, because that’s the only footy I love.

Carlton fans booing the umpires when they’ve had one less free for the game, but 4 goals from very questionable frees. My least favourite supporters by a mile.

It must be nice watching tight Carlton games safe in the knowledge that the umpires will go to work in the last quarter.

They do not understand the rules. It’s a byproduct of not going to the footy for 15 years.
