  1. And it’s easier to jump the turnstiles at Southern Cross compared to Richmond station, so no excuses in terms of access.
  2. Steven Quartermain implied over the weekend that one of the issues with the ARC system is that the AFL expects the broadcaster to pay for and provide the equipment. That can’t be right, can it? I was shocked when I read it.
  3. That’s a big contract for a guy who ‘lost his passion’ 2 months ago.
  4. Shout out to Josh Jenkins, who picked the Hawks at half time on the big screen. 👋
  5. We sewed up a top 4 spot today by beating a team who gave it their all and kept us really honest, so it was a solid win… Yet there’s such a weird vibe around here. I thought people would be thrilled with our effort the last 2 months. If you can’t be proud of what we are serving up at the moment I don’t know when you ever will be. We are the most consistent team of the last 3 years. We haven’t been this good for 60 years! Our average losing margin for the year is 10 points. I’m super proud of where we are at as a football club. I can’t ask for much more as a supporter, and if you feel entitled to more you might need to ask yourself what your expectations are, and why you feel entitled to them? Go Dees.
  6. Watching the replay: Melksham could have easily kicked 6. He really beat Sicily, which is a huge win. Rivers was our best performer. Lever our most important.
  7. I was a bit worried that we might run out of legs in the last, given how hard we worked last week. I feel so much more confident in our fitness this year. We have finished really well the last month.
  8. That was a good day at the footy. Hawks had a real crack, but our class won out after half time. G was in good form and once again we got a good crowd in. Since Fritta went down we’ve gone 6-1, with the one loss by 4 points. I think if we were promised that after his injury we’d take it.
  9. This is why I love footy fans. Crows get absolutely robbed, and someone says ‘yeah, but remember that game 32 years ago against that club that doesn’t exist anymore?’ 🤣
  10. He was 11 metres out on a 30 degree angle. Absolute shank.
  11. Kev, I still have dreams that Simon Eishold kicks his goal in the 1987 Prelim. Moving on isn’t my specialty.
  12. Even with 20/75 vision the dog could see THE BALL WASN’T TOUCHED!
  13. Maysy will be in the defenders ears this morning: Gesticulate wildly like you’ve touched the ball, even if you’re nowhere near it, and Slap the goal post to take the edge technology out. Do those 2 things and we can’t lose.
  14. I think this was a genuine surprise to most clubs, especially us. The AFL seemed to be heading towards 5 on the bench and the same rotations, which would have been big for us. Then they somehow reverted to the sub rule and made our ruck experiment less damaging.
  15. Ok, so we’ve spent 10 years integrating this system and we’ve had 2 decisions in a row decided by an umpires mistake. So how is this better? Go back to the old system. I can’t handle another week of broadcasters telling me I’m not seeing what I can clearly see.
  16. Fox Footy doing everything not to say it was an absolutely terrible mistake. We can see it!
  17. The footage shows the ball nowhere near the padding. Thats a clear mistake.
  18. Jack Sinclair looks like the kind of guy that sells Air-conditioning units in Florida, but he’s a hell of a footballer.
