Similar blinkers on. Happy to support the coach who was selected after (I hope) a rigorous recruitment process. However I am a bit ambivalent based on performance, and yes it's no apparent plan B. i appreciate that last years injury pattern was not helpful but I maintain that using the whole squad in Plans B,C,D,,Etcwe could have had improved results. That's a significant part of the coaches job. i know the squad is now a better mix of players and the coach hopefully is responsible for that, training seems to have improved, the coach is responsible for that. Goodie now has to get the selections right and motivate the team to the start of our success. i expect a premiership or so damn close for him to continue. If we have not won a flag before his contradt ends I expect a new coach.

At least you will end with a successful outcome. Congratulations, this life event far more important than training news. The team have it covered. and hopefully the beginning of another increase in membership.

We can perhaps resolve this and support the AFL who can introduce gender neutral terms at all times. Female includes Male in its structure , woman includes man in its structure. Delete the use of the term male and refer to Daisy Peace displaying a don't argue similar to female colleague Dustin Martin. Cant see any problem there.
-
This is absolutely correct. It is the introduction of the W which has maintained stereotyping. We should all be encouraged to view any and all of the games free of gender bias. i do encourage women to watch AFLW should just be encoraging all to watch AFL.

Thanks BB read earlier and after seeing others didn't spot any mention of Dunkley? Is he still the invisible man you mentioned who has plenty of possession but not noticed or has he dropped off?

It's always great to see a Demon victory. This is just the beginning and all criticism is correct and support is fantastic. We do need to get more women interested, they must follow and invest in the sport as men have done with AFL to make this expansion of the industry work. Men need to ensure they attend and follow games with their female partners, friends, etc and particularly the next generation. Encourage women to attend and support the game , encourage them to see what is possible as AFLW evolves to similar skills, and emotion as AFL. i hope we can all overcome our negatives about all the issues recognised and can see that there is so much potential to grow interest and involvement in sports with all the attendant benefits this offers to society. This is the beginning of societal change that should be encouraged.

Ross would be a reasonable site. Makes a good day out from populations of both sides of the border. Tasmania has been divided historically as descendants of criminals (South) and free settlers(North) which why the troops were garrisoned in Ross. its why the two team options has worked so well both regions can support their side. So it's important that the local feeder leagues get some support and that the State team has a blend from all regions. At least the population supports the game. Liked and support the wafl idea a women's side would probably be a good litmus test.

No more free kicks in the centre circle but a discount may be granted.

HaHa. Yeah good comment our crew including yourself are obviously in a different league. Certainly no offence meant.

Games would be a lock-in.

Agree with your Melb/Syd clash. Great potential for leveraging off the existing rivalry.

I reckon you'r right be. Dland reporters have provided some high quality commentary and photos without any huge infrastructure or structural support. The Qland troupe maintained the standard and well done to them. The club provided content is necessarily formulating c as they are probably offered to conventional media. We still do not have enough clout to get the content on that media, unless it is Max's leg. Its good that the club a team least posts its content to us but we are unlikely to get more cover until we have success. Who knows Dland posters may have job opportunities (ie hardbacks son Liam) as we begin to forge our next premiership. By the time we have completed our three peat Saty, Baghdad, and George will be the Joffa of Demons.

Additional Preseason Games vs Essendon & North Melbourne

Interesting that the rollover exercise there was part of and commented on as a new routine introduced into our Current training routines. -
Hey Vagg, even so at Sale High you might have played against some fairly decent players in the inter town competition. Did you ever have to pick up Jeff Jennngs who played I believe in Traralgon HS side. I assume you didn't play on Templeton or Quinlan or Blethyn who are just a few of the kids who played through those representative sides. I remember Sale an Marra had som pretty useful players not to mention the Moe boys who I can't remember. A lot of speedy players came out of those forward pockets I couldn't even feature in the back pocket"too small, too slow" so took up baseball. I respect your contribution.

Hurts a lot less than a pulled groin muscle.
-
Thanks Bbo. That's what I'm talking about!
-
Thanks K. Have been criticised for the emphasis on rest but it's the only solution. I did not realise that the groin muscle is the centre of every physical action . Have been spreading the message, look after the groin, make sure you stretch and prepare before putting it under load. As I said this comment also always induces ribald comment perhaps suitable for comedic presentation.
-
Ok I won't post here again suggesting I could be in such esteemed company. Just give me back the regular eclectic content that made this the best thread on the site. I have been suffering from a groin injury and had so much time on my hands that I have been on Dland more than usual. Only now starting active rehab. I have a new and greater appreciation of that injury and its impact on activity. Have been considering creating a comedy routine around the injury as mention of it usually results in ,"nudge, ,nudge, wink, wink," type comments and instant laughter. Of course that's only from people who have never experienced one. Any fellow sufferers immediately offer "oh that's painful, that hurts" response. I will be cutting the players a bit more slack when it's reported 4-6 knowing it could be 10-12.
-
Pretty casual too. Exciting.

Good points M. I reckon the defènce presses up the ground leaving them exposed when a team kicks over the top ahead of their forwards who flood back. When I go to the game with my mate who has played a lot of footy I always hear him yelling "someone in the goal square pleeeease" and I am surprised how often when there is a player there it results in an effective defence and often allows a structure to rebound.

Could this be an omen... Dees back AO competitor

I wonder if his leg brace was modelled on or for Brayshaw arm brace? Maybe that's why he was at the club. -
Have requested this for last few years. We need to find out what is wrong with our positioning and techniques as we rarely receive free kicks for over the shoulder or in the back while giving away both.. My quest started when we did not receive free kicks for being tripped while one of our players was disqualified for an attempted trip. We must know how to execute the fundamental actions..

Happy to help . Let me know if your ever coming down Beechworth way. Plenty of available subject matter. A friend has an Airbnb property Lockwood cottage, which is very reasonably priced family accomodation.
