GAME DAY - AFLX Scratchings Match
So, I watched about 5 to 10 minutes just to make sure I wasn't being a bit harsh in my criticism. That's 5 to 10 minutes I will never get back...

Dees seek special deal for Cat B Rookies
Don't panic 'Clint'... We've still got 2 list spots to fill.

Most Heartbreaking Loss?
'87 prelim was hard to take, but it was a great ride that year. ...the following years record GF loss to Hawthorn shattered me. That was soul destroying stuff.

AFLX Revamped
I think this could be a shrewd move by Goodwin???? By putting Bailey in with some of the best in the competition it shows he belongs. Might just give him that extra little kick along. I'm not a fan of AFLX at all but in this case we may be well using it to our best advantage.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
I would think Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Geelong are all significant home ground advantages...

Calling '@Webber'...I think we need your professional opinion on this. When is a minor knee procedure not an op/is an op????? What could it be that Tommy is having done????

Harmsey Ready to Wreak Havoc Again
With centre bounces becoming more important this season I would have Oliver in most if not all these contests. As far as midfield time in general he can float forward from there if he needs a break. The others can rotate through as you say...

Fox Footy's 2019 Top 8 Predictions
I think he's right, was only saying the same to a mate the other day. The AFL need to be careful what they wish for...at least our dismal losing margin records (Cats & Fitzroy) could be in for a trashing with hopefully us dishing it out for a change.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
Unfortunately a swap the next year doesn't work if you're talking an equitable draw... We all know some teams are easy beats one year and world beaters the next. I think the idea of an even draw is a furphy and will never happen. What we have now is about as good as it's going to get... ...and please Dill, no conferences.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
It's not fair at all 'bin'... Teams will have the home ground advantage & not having to travel etc... ...and the idea of a reverse draw the following year doesn't hold up as teams have good years and bad years. No, the only fair system is to play each team twice & even then there will be anomalies. Of course it also won't happen...
-
AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
All they've proved is that conferences are just as, if not more inequitable than the current mens system...the only way for an almost truly equitable system would be to play each team twice & that's not going to happen. Danger would have a fit.

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
We all know the ladders mean nothing in the current system where 4 or more of the best teams are in one conference... The ladders might look better but the lopsided finals will tell the true picture. No matter how much she tries to SPIN it, it is an epic stuff up...

AFLW: The Farce of the Conference System
The AFL under Dill's leadership....to smart by half.

Harmsey Ready to Wreak Havoc Again
I get your point there 'Flash' but he's way ahead of anything Kent had done and a fair bit on from Hunt I would think.

AFLW: Rd 3 vs Brisbane
Why didn't they just do a draw with 7 games then 'Dee'? The conference seems a convoluted way of going about things. But then again it is the AFL...

AFLW: Rd 3 vs Brisbane
So 'Lucifer', I haven't been keeping a close eye on this at all. How does the conference system work? For some reason I thought that conference A teams just play other teams in conference A then the top teams in each conference play off??? ...but it seems you just play anyone????

Every list rated for this year and the future
Pelchen made a name for himself on the back of the Hawthorn list, one that Dermott vehemently disputes. He screwed the St Kilda list before moving on, probably has as much to do or more than Lyon with their current predicament. Whilst the words are nice I wouldn't place a lot of faith in what he says. He's certainly conned a lot in believing he is some kind of list expert.

Sam Weideman + contract
A bit cranky this morning 'Franky'.... His turning circle is ok for a big man, he's pretty good below his knees and he won't need to do a whole lot of ruck work. He is a work in progress and progressing quite well I would think. Not a million miles off but still some work to do.

Impact of rule changes
Back in the good old days we used to use the umpire as a shield to break a tag. When the ump bounces the ball and moves back there is a space between him and the ball, the plan was for the ruck to tap to a mid moving through that space. All those who used to complain about Jamar tapping short, well this was a similar tactic they were trying to pull off. Notice I said trying, not necessarily working and of course the opposition would be trying something similar.

Training - Tuesday 12th February, 2019
It was more the interrupted seasons rather than pre seasons that cost us with these 2 'binman'... Both were pretty good when they got on the ground. Viney only played 7 home & away games. So long as we don't miss key players again this year I'm not as fussed as some with preseason. Apart from Hannan it doesn't seem like anyone else has been off legs...

Goodwin signs on until end of 2022
Instead you get rolling speculation. I can't see an upside in this at all. It was ok for Carlton as it gave them a quick get out with Bolton if they realised he couldn't really coach.

King: Oliver better than Cripps & Bont
Bin used before 'bin', but what the hell why not again...

King: Oliver better than Cripps & Bont
Let me bag him a bit now... Kingy was late to the party with Oliver, it took him until last season to get it and then he really got on the bandwagon. Don't mind Kingy but I think he likes to make the big statement a lot...the law of averages says he will get one right every now and then. As for this subject, all 3 are great players. Happy to have Oliver and unlike Kingy I like others on here could see it from his first game. With 2 good shoulders the sky's the limit.
