  1. Whats your point? I was talking about Toumpas not Salem and Kelly. Different players different scenario. Are you trying to say Toumpas is performing as well as Tyson here? Or are you just randomly changing the subject to something I discussed 4 or 5 months ago that has no relevancy to Toumpas.
  2. Well you were commenting on friends of mine ignorently. That said afl is more prevalent in Victoria and many I know get involved as they have become young professionals.
  3. Obvuously what we are doing now isnt working. We have been near the bottom of the ladder for close to a decade and cant even pay our full salary cap yey people want things to remain as is. Its time to tap into a new market, fresh market of young students which many actually live in Melbourne and want to get involved in thr countries culture and sports.
  4. You obviously dont understand the meaning of permanent residency...
  5. Makes sence to target young students who have no current allegiances and are from wealthy families. It also could be used to attract athletes internationally to apply for scholarships and work hand in hand in setting up an academy.
  6. Why is that? They are young and will be funding the club for a good 50 years.
  7. I know a number of international students who support the hawks due to there proximity to Monash uni. These students are now signed up members and permanent residents.
  8. Not to mention many of these students would be from wealthy families
  9. Having the presence makes a big difference. The pros out weigh the cons here, outside of location it looks better. Melbourne uni is the first stopping point for thousands of international students a year. Many who stay in Melbourne after they graduate. Would be great exposure for the first team they see are the dees training at full pace during O week. The dees would not get that type of posure where they are now. The current locatiom is just a more convenient location for existing members, however it will not have as much growth compared to being down at Melb uni.
  10. I like this idea, we could potentially even use the alignment with the university to try develop kids on scholarships through the university, similair to the way they use the college system in the states.
  11. We should put Toumpas up for a trade with our 2nd or 3rd rounder. I would even offer up Howe. It is about time we were willing to give up some decent players to get something decent in return which fits our mould better.
  12. Salem isn't exactly lighting the world on fire…but congratulations on trying to quote me from 4 or 5 months ago.
  13. Biggest goal kicker of the game today not tearing it up? Yeah ok, whateva makes you feel better.
  14. No point having a good kick if you cant even get a kick
  15. Why didnt u include pick 7? You know the kid who desperately wanted to play for us but god forbid we pickup a kid higher then what the other clubs rated him
  16. Stringer kicking 4 goals as a developing player, meanwhile Toumpas is playing off the extended bench in the rabble at Casey. It wasnt only Wines we missed but we have also seen Stringer Grundy Wines Vlastuin Mcarae ect all tearing it up now.
  17. Macrae and Stringer really put in for developing playes
  18. Stringers playing well, shame we didnt take him at pick 4
  19. This post adds absolutely 0 value to this thread. Please keep your pathetic personal attacks of fellow demon supporters to yourself or even in PM. Please keep this tjread about todays game. That said is anyone able to advise how Evans went? I used to have high hopes for the kid.
  20. Mate get it through your head. Toumpas needs to stand up, he is way off the mark right now and is barely making the Casey Seniors. For what we took him at the draft is a joke right now, if I didnt know any better I would think BP were behind picking him up.
