Which position would he have played at Geelong (Danger, Selwood, Ablett, Duncan) Hawks (Hodge, Mitchell, Mitchell, Burgoyne, Omeara), Richmond (Cotchin, Martin, Prestia), Collingwood (Pendles, Treloar, Sidebottom) ect as he wouldn’t have gotten a gig in the midfield behind what they have. He has proven to us he is limited in playing other roles so I am keen to hear your arguments on this. He would have had to forge himself as a completely different player to make the cut at many other clubs.

Look at it this way, would you prefer Garlett or Robbie Gray on our list? Right now Spargo is out performing Kozzie. I am not saying I don’t think he should be in the team, I am saying I feel pick 8 was too much and should have gone towards potential A grade class like Serong who we have missed now. We have heavily overrated our lists talent and gone for icing instead of cake. We desperately need more talent in our team across all lines

I disagree, while he has been a loyal campaigner for us the truth is he wouldn’t have gotten nearly as many other opportunities at other clubs as he did at the dees. He likely wouldn’t have made the starting 22 for many other clubs during his prime let alone the % of salary cap he would have earns (due to us having sweet FA talent on our list). While he has faught well his time is up and he has been more then fairly compensated for his time. He isn’t owed anything.

He is a mid forward, classy in the Robbie Gray mould. Would have Melksham or Fritsch out of the team

Will this be another one to come back and bite us? Pickett getting a lazy 4 disposals with Serong getting 22 last week. Yes Rivers was part of the trade however this smells like Kelly/Tyson all over again. Would die for some class like Serong up forward right now, the game on Monday will be interesting

Surprised no one has mentioned that he basically did a Kelly/Salem Tyson trade again last off season by trading away Serong for Pickett/Rivers Another I hope we don’t regret however Serong is looking a class above right now and would absolutely love him in our forward line.

Has Goodwin lost that much confidence that the board genuinely think we would be more of a basket case if Richo wasn’t at the helm?

When we have almost no injuries, to see how far off the Mark our list is astonishing. To need to rely on players such as ANB, Wagner, OMac, Smith, Spargo, Brown, Jones, Harmes, Frits co during a crunch game like today is disgusting. How our list got in such a poor state is an indictment of Mahoney
