2017 Pick 5 - Freemantle Dockers Age: 18 Height: 186 Weight: 85 kg In the event that Hogan is successfully poached by Fremantle, I believe we should make this kid one of our demands along with top 10 pick. He did sign an extension earlier this year, however was the last of the top 10 from the 2017 draft to do so with a couple articles speculating he would be obtainable. For reference, Dom Tyson was traded to Melbourne after signing an extension in the same year as well as Schache from Brisbane to Western Bulldogs. It can happen. Freemantle want to offer Hogan buckets of cash year on year, fine... time for us to play hardball and demand a quality Vic kid in return. Knightmares write-up. Best position: Inside midfielder Height, weight: 186cm, 85kg Recruited from: Eastern Ranges Projected draft range: Top 10 Similar to: Trent Cotchin October Ranking: 3 Rationale: Cerra is as dominant and classy as any midfield in this year's draft crop. Less exposed form and slight lack of explosiveness is all that places him slightly behind Rayner and Davies-Uniacke. Strengths: Contested ball-winning Wins first possession at stoppages Stoppage work Wins clearances Stands up through tackles Strong build Powerful mark overhead One-on-one marking Clean at ground level Clean ball user on both sides of the body Decision-making Vision Composure under pressure Production Evasiveness Endurance Workrate Best suited through midfield but can also be utilised forward or back Weaknesses: Acceleration- POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 22

What can you tell me about Nathan Murphy Steve? Only just chosen footy as his primary focus I believe.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Now for the all important question, what number will he be playing in? (4?) 8, 9, 27, 31, 46. With respect to Trenners I reckon 9 would be a good fit.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Whilst I agree mostly with what you're saying, and wouldn't be particularly fazed if we gave two first rounders with another pick back our way, it's interesting that rockliff on a 4 x 650,000 contract is, reportedly, deemed worthy of an end of round 1 pick only by the afl. Of course there are a heap of variables/differences but interesting nonetheless.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

Caught about 2 minutes of Sen this morning with Kb and another person, can't remember who. Lever was discussed briefly with the generally jist being the "mail" that Collingwood being in the mix was incorrect, however bulldogs staff allegedly think they're a chance. The overall feeling I got was Melbourne still in the box seat. Probably nothing that hasn't been speculated already.- Jack Billings
Why do Gws players like the blues so much? Surely it can't all be about SOS. Perhaps it's just the sheer number of former team mates now... Is it just blues you have inside info on? Seem to recall reading you're friends with someone on the inner sanctum their. Hopefully Chook in Perth will return soon, would love some potential info on where we're at with Lever or other trade targets.- Jack Billings
Well I didn't think it was a realistic shot anyway but when someone that talented remains unsigned I would've thought it was worth the discussion. Much like West coast and Freo indicating interest in Hogan last year and us with Lever this year. It would seem to be a moot point now with reports he'll be signing on soon. The relevance of someone out of contract is that it may indicate a desire to leave their club and they would have more power to do so. Contracted player like Gibbs last year can be retained, while an out of contract player that nominates another club usually gets there. But again, all moot. May as well end thread.- Jack Billings

Out of contract at the end of this season and Demons rated him (allegedly) higher than Josh Kelly in the 2013 draft. Has played 62 games and is having a breakout season. Could fill that skillful outside role as well as having the ability to go forward and hit the scoreboard. Would cost a lot and I can't actually see him leaving the Saints this year, but for mine is definitely worth the discussion.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOEL SMITH
Nah it's definitely Joel. He won't be on the official primary list until the end of the year/draft period. From memory he was elevated for king who has since come of the LTI list but we can promote a rookie mid season.- Nuggets' Music Videos
Damn, I forgot about this awesome thread. Who doesn't like watching a middle aged guy dancing awkwardly to metal? He does have a few credits in the bank for being one of the most talented musicians going around in the genre. These guys are getting a bit of airplay on triple J and I was impressed when I saw them live late last year. This may have been posted already but gets me every time.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Is he playing this week?- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Or they were the players they rated the highest regardless of their height? 2-3cm isn't going to get someone crossed off the list if they're talented enough.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM

Probably not worth starting a thread on this guy as I believe he has re-signed until 2017 last year and is not a midfielder, but Adam Kennedy from the Giants can't seem to get a game this year after being a solid best 22 player since their inception. Can't say that I have seen a great deal of him but to my eye he appeared to be a good small defender with skills and pace that could help free up Salem to the midfield. 23 years old and has played 59 games, only 5 this year. Worth keeping an eye on? - Adam Cerra
