Don't get me wrong, I never doubted we would win and was relaxed in that sense. Just thought we were off from our normal defensive intensity.

I was guilty of being a bit antsy but I was getting more annoyed about the broken tackles and the perceived intent of the Eagles being harder at the ball. As always emotions are heightened watching live and probably not nearly as bad as I perceived it to be.

Remember when we would play 1 bad quarter and lose the game? Now we play 1 good quarter and win easily. Good times.

Brayshaw, probably seen as the more expendable player compared to the likes of Oliver and Petracca, is moving himself into the must re-sign category. Has been one of our best this year and is so versatile that he excels in most positions. Get it done dees.

Shouldn't get suspended but probably will due to the outcomes vs action nature of the system. Be interesting to see what Ryan gets considering Bowey played out the game. Agree with your changes and if not suspended Chandler will probably come out anyway. Edit: Laurie a chance if they decide to go with a hff/mid replacement rather than pure mid.

Chandler Ok the 1 to Chandler is a bit of joke, but the difference between his intensity and tackling intent for the 15 odd minutes he was on the ground compared to some others was stark. Played like he wanted to be in the team and not in self preservation mode.

It's impressive that we're winning considering how many lazy half-arsed efforts have been on display. Play anyone else other than Eagles and North and we probably lose. Edit: I'm still happy we're winning though.

JVR has incredible ground ball skills for a big man. Hits the contest with intensity and gathers cleanly. Good in front of the sticks too. I'd say we have found one here but with Taylor at the helm I think we knew we'd have the goods.

Did anyone else just lose the stream?

Bedford does everything at pace and looks a cut above, just his finishing skills letting him down a little today which isn't normally an issue. JVR looks super impressive a lot of potential in this bloke and hopefully gets a game sometime this year. Daw dominating in the ruck but don't think his opponent is offering much of a challenge. Tomlinson a rock down back and ready made key position depth. Hope to see Laurie and Rosman more involved in the next half.

Tyson isn't on North Melbourne senior list anymore. Just playing in their VFL squad.

Tomlinson, Dunstan, Van Rooyen (2goals) and Turner playing well. Baker solid at this level as always. Weideman looking threatening but is often double and triple teamed, took a nice contested mark and converted. McVee and Woewodin getting a bit of the ball. Not so much for Rosman and Laurie.

Was it pies booing or the doggies fan supporting him? Similar to our fans yelling out oooooze, I couldn't tell.

Seems like the timing of the Casey game and the following bye is a factor for players like Bedford, Weideman and Laurie with the aim to get a full game in prior to the bye. Hopefully Weideman puts his best foot forward without Brown in the team to keep pressure on McDonald. As pointed out, the emergencies in this game are likely to miss two weeks of footy unless they get elevated to the seniors.

We just need to find out which player weighs the same as a duck.

Suspect we're more likely to lose players than we are to acquire them.

Zac Jones fined for striking Oliver. To be honest I thought if Jones was going to get cited it would be for the deliberate charge/tunnelling of Langdon immediately prior to that. No attempt to contest the mark in my view and deliberately took out Langdon when he was in a vulnerable position.
