  12. Another way to look at it is that how hard is it to win both the K1 & the C1 in this sport? There's always a bit of luck involved with Canoe/Slalom unlike some events where a pure technique & high ability can win out To watch it is nerve-racking enough but imagine the pressure at the top of the run! All that white water going every which way Previously, Jess wouldn't have had a second chance but in this Olympics we have both the C1 & the K1 Anyway, Jess will be doubly determined on Thursday if she gets through to the final, that's for sure
  13. So close hey ... such a fine line between winning and not winning. Nerve racking sport to watch so I'm glad I was only listening in on audio! But Jess can make amends on Thursday in the C1. Anyway, I guess we had our hopes up but that's the roller-coaster of the Olympics A Gold medal is damn hard to attain. They don't hand them out
  14. Thanks for all the updates TD ... much appreciated The Bronze meant a lot to Owen judging by the celebrations. Fierce competion so any medal is great reward Jess Fox has qualified first in the K1 Canoe/Slalom to be run shortly so fingers crossed
  15. What a swim from Kaylee!! Tactically perfect the way she swooped home More Gold!! Fantastic!
  16. Ariarna Titmus - Champion 400m Freestyle .

  18. Gold!!!! Ariarne Titmus immense!! You beauty!!
  19. Olyroos did well to hang on for so long against Spain. Conceded late but 3 of our players have now been ruled out of the match against Egypt after receiving yellow cards Win against Egypt and we advance but draw and we may miss Although I'm not sure whether Argentina will hold out against Spain ... bit of a class difference as I see it And Harry Garside has advanced to the last 16 in the boxing (Lightweight division) He looked alright too, winning all 3 rounds. A southpaw with a bit of style Edit: Had a look at Harry Garside's profile and he won gold at the 2018 Commonwealth games and lists his hero as Jim Stynes ( Harry has done a bit of volunteer work for the Reach foundation) Can we assume that Harry is a Demon supporter?
  20. I'll try and post up the schedule as early as possible but apart from today, you'll see it sometime after 8.30pm Monday Schedule (Notable & Aussie Related) ... click for full schedule 7.30am Triathlon Mens - Jacob Bertwhistle, Matthew Hauser & Aaron Royle 7.50am Surfing - Steph Gilmour 11.00am Surfing - Sally Fitzgibbons 11.30am Rugby 7's - Australia vs Argentina 11.30am Swimming - Semi's & Final's 1.15pm Hockey - Hockeyroos vs China 2.30pm Surfing - Julian Wilson 3.00pm Canoe/Slalom - Daniel Watkins 4.00pm Cycling Mountain Bike Mens - Daniel McConnell 4.00pm Beach Volleyball Mens - Australia vs ROC (Chris McHugh & Damien Schumann) 4.50pm Surfing - Owen Wright 7.00pm Rugby 7's - Australia vs South Korea 7.20pm Water Polo Womens - Australia vs Netherlands 8.00pm Swimming - Heats 9.00pm Softball - Australia vs Mexico
  21. I watched a reasonable amount of Ash's match and she wasn't on her game today So the surprises can work both ways as I had Ash as at least making the semi's ... but the Hockeyroos are off to a great start and our rowers are well placed. Beach Volleyball as well but the softballers had a close loss There are going to be some ups and downs ... bit of a rollercoaster really
  22. Winners! The Womens 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay Champions
  23. Gold!!! World Record in the Womens 4 x 100m Freestle Relay! 3 seconds clear of the rest of the world That was amazing!!
  24. Elijah was disappointing and Mack Horton looking on might have fancied his chances Still, we weren't the raging favourite to take out the event so Jack taking out the silver is a mighty effort Not sure we are going to have it all our way in the 4 x 100m freestlyle relay (womens) ... should win but we've got some tough opposition who may not have shown their hand
