Wow. How things have changed from 2 years ago. Jamar and Johnson where our only ruck options and both were not good enough. Now we have 4 rucks who are performing at a decent level. If the club is smart it will retain Gawn and re-asses our ruck situation next year. Then if we need we can trade one out for a decent pick. I can't remember a time when a decent ruckman wasn't in demand.

I don't think we are in a position to top up like the hawks and collingwood did. I would love us to go through the draft again, however if a great young player did become available I would be keen to have a crack. Personally I would love for us to target Dangerfield, Rockliff, Redden, Mitch Clark, Jackson Trengrove. None of these players are likely to be available. Which is fine. Ill be happy with the draft. Jesse White from the Swans if he was cheap as well.

This is correct. Miller stint in the ruck was absolutely terrible last weekend. I reckon they will put Vickery in the ruck when he gets nothing down forward. Our defenders are much better than brisbanes on the weekend.

That would mean we would have to bring in Warnock or play Martin in defense. I would still give Garland first crack, Vickery is starting to play some good footy. He is tall and quick and doesn't mind a contest. Basically, at this stage of his career he is everything we hope Fitzpatrick can be.He had an awesome game last week against the lions. But lets look at the Brisbane defense. Merrett was out. That leaves no one of on any decency for Brisbane's tall defense. Also lost Clark at about the half way mark. So tall stocks were down. Richmonds flankers are in good shape with Delidio, Newman and Houli all playing well. But there tall defenders are all complete rubbish. Rance was seen at the airport icing his knee, so he is in doubt. If we play Jamar forward they may be force to bring in Post. Would be a massive win for us. There forward line of J.Riewoldt, Vickery and Miller doesn't really send chills down my spine. As long as Chip is on his game he will have the better of Riewoldt. Who else plays forward? The push up King? probably out for a week suspension which is good for us. I admire King for getting the most out of himself in recent times. Midfield will decide the out come though. There mids look better on paper. If they get on top in the midfield I fear we may [censored] ourselves and give up like the many other times we have this year. Richmond have had some really slow starts this year. If we can get on top early and get our confidence up then we may well smash them. If we are about even at quarter time we will have a struggle on our hands. And we don't usually go to well with tight games recently. I'm really excited about this match. With our side this year we could smash them or we could get completely blown away!

I find the fact that people are waiting for a 'breakout' game strange. Why does he need to have a breakout game? Why can't he just continue to improve at the rate he is going at the moment. If he shows gradual improvement like he has soon he will be creeping up to 4 and 5 goal games soon enough.

Stef Martin can go back if we play 3 rucks. Only if Vickery proves too tall for the others.

I don't think so. He definately deserves it, but spots on the senior list are precious this year. Will be a lot of hard decisions already without finding another spot for a rookie.
