Thanks heap for the training reports guys. Really appreciate it. Check out the muscle definition on Watts! Not an ounce of fat on him.

Surely we would have logo approval from the AFL before we announce the deal? That way we would be able to show the jumper with the logo at the time of announcement.

Narrowing in on either Grimes or Trengove for Captain
BAMF replied to mdemonski2's topic in Melbourne Demons
Frawley as captain just wouldn't work. I want Frawley to beat his man. Every time. Period. If he is focusing on making sure the rest of the team to keep their positions and formations whilst encouraging the younger players and barking orders then his opponent will break free and beat him. It would only take half a second of distraction for a Buddy Franklin or Steven Milne to get the jump on him. He wouldn't have time to run over to a player and give them a pat on the back or a quick word of encouragement. The comparison to Maxwell or Harley are irrelevant as they take the third and forth best forwards. They don't have to have the same level of concentration. Frawley a leader in the back line? Yes. Hell yes. Hell yes with a cherry on top. Frawley as captain of the whole team? No. -
Someone else may be able to answer this a bit better than I can. I think they still train there. Most of the clubs are really good about it and respect each other and stay away whilst there have been some amusing moments over the years with finding opposition club staff members up trees spying! If your a member of the public i think you just get asked to leave.

They train on the other days. Monday, Wednesday and Friday are open sessions. Which mean that the public can go down at watch. Which is why we report about them. The other days are closed sessions. (Closed to the public) So we don't get to have reports on those days and therefore don't talk about them much.

Was there ever a link to a podcast of this interview?

'Training The House Down' --- Official MFC pre-season updates
BAMF replied to bananas's topic in Melbourne Demons
I dislike sugar coated reports like these. All positives. They could just say "Everyone is doing well" and be done with it. It's a shame that we have to assume that Blease is going to be playing forward rather than Brown giving us a rundown on what they have planned for him -
I remember round 6 2006 when we beat them at the G on a cold friday night. Flash kicked a super goal from the boundary members side. Dunn played well in his first game and kicked 2. The next time we played them at the G was round 3 2007. Tommahawk ripped us apart. I was sitting with my mate in general seating and sat next to two of the most feral women I have ever come across. They even gave me [censored] about how the demons couldn't get a decent crowd. It will be hard to restart the rivalry when we are on opposite sides of the development phase. We are coming up while they will be coming down.

Four goals a game would be nice? If he played 22 games he would be win the coleman medal! It would be a bit more than nice.

Poor guy. All the best.

Jordie! Far out! Gysberts looks a lot bigger as well. Morton looks the same.

I was a Bailey supporter. I always thouht he would turn it around. After 2011, its easy to forget that in 2010 we actually played some good footy at times. 2 close games against the pies. The close friday night against the bulldogs and the pink umpires. The absolute belting of Sydney! Even our 2nd game agaisnt the Hawks was really competative until the rain came. It was easy to buy into the fact that we were going places in 2011. But how could we not be focussing on a game plan in 2011? What happened to the defensive plan? The saddest thing is Bailey focussed on fitness and skills and we are still a long way behind the top teams in this regard.

Melbourne AFL ruckman Max Gawn hurts knee Man I hate injuries! -
Have a look at who is number 1 in the research. Sydney. You have got to ask yourself what questions where they asking. Clearly everyone they surveyed in Sydney were asked 'Which AFL team do you support'. They all answered Sydney. I bet a lot of the people surveyed still think Barry Hall is playing.

If we were keen to draft him then why wouldn't he be training at the club? I doubt there is any other clubs looking at him. Wouldn't we want him to get as much training into him as we could?

Gysberts, McKenzie, Bennell, Blease, Morton. Can we afford to have so many skinny players in the team?

Jay Clarke? I'll prepare for a heap of dribble.

I really don't want a third year player focused on leading the club. He should be focusing on his game and trying to improve (which i'm sure he is) I remember many having the same conversation about Brock Mclean in his third year.

Water Cooler chat...Neon Leon to the Dees on Tuesday
BAMF replied to StillWoewodin22's topic in Melbourne Demons
This makes no sense. He left Collingwood because they offered him less than he wanted plus he wanted to play closer to W.A to be with his family. Why would he want to play for us and why would we want him to play for us. -
We are only just talking about this now. Its going to be years before its built. By the time we move in aami park will no longer be modern and from my understanding we have limited office space at aami already.

Okay. Who do you think?

I read it on the plane on the way to Bali. I was keen to read it and thought I would find time to finish it throughout my holiday. But it never made it to Bali. It was such a good and interesting read that I couldn't put it down. I read the whole thing before we landed. I thought I knew a lot about Aboriginal culture but this book really opened my eyes to a lot of things. A couple of good laughs too! I recommend this book to anyone, For a demon supporter it is a must read though. Seriously, if your a big enough fan to read this forum then you should read this book.
