Well your 2nd point is wrong. Ginbey pushed Petty in the contest when he knew he wasn't going to impact. Petty is now concussed and there is apparently nothing to see? Ginbey who has done it before. It's very similar to the mansel incident.

Exactly. Spargo was in rehab for most of the preseason. His round 2 selection was a shock to many and it looked like Goody was rushing him back from injury just like he did in round 1 the previous year. Why rush him back? Well.. just have a look at this thread. When the options are: Sharp - has had a few good moments but has been disappointing overall. Culley - A slow midfielder who got delisted by a team who are in full rebuild and has also just got over an injury himself. Spargo had 7 disposals on the weekend, 2 of them were clangers. He is still better than the other options. I would much rather play Spargo and hope he can build on form as we know he is good when fit. We have multiple players each week who are horribly out of form who continue to get games. Jesus... We even have Fullarton getting a game at the moment. The cupboard isn't bare, but it's slim pickings in the reserves at the moment.

We can get all the W's back together again. White, Woewodin, Walsh. Now we just need to find a Wheelan, Ward and Wheately.

100% dazzle. Barry had a few odd choices which gets immediately pointed out by has haters. I followed the draft heavily back in those days like many on here. The Gysberts pick was the real standout flaw although he looked great in his first few games. I remember the media stories and rumours coming out that other clubs didn't rate him that high. The majority of the other picks went round about where they should have. Was it a mistake picking Watts over NikNat? Yes. But Watts would have been a top 5 pick if we didn't take him. Likewise with the majority of the other picks. Blease went about where most thought. Tapscott was there abouts. Scully and Trengove were widely known as the top 2 picks that year months out. Even if all of Barry's picks were taken a smidgen early, there is no way all of those picks fail to forge a decent career. I remember when Blease retired and he said "well I've had 5 senior coaches in 7 years." Our facilities sucked. Our development sucked. I feel bad for the players we drafted as they were in the worst environment to succeed at AFL level.

Alright. We have seen a lot of words and little action. The president has said to judge us on next week where the players are ready to impress. I'll be watching expecting an improvement. If it doesn't happen then I'll be done with the current administration and expect a number of staff to give notice.

These things are small potatoes for me now. I'm thinking long term. We need to become a good club first and foremost. #1. Get a training base. It's held us back for 30 years and we cannot attract talent based on 'good team culture' anymore. It's a massive hindrance and it needs to be sorted before we can truly become a club that has sustained success. #2. Anyone who doesn't want to be here can go. Accept unders if/when required and get on with it. I don't want to see a pea heart effort like the first 2 quarters ever again. #3. Rebuild as best we can before Tas come into the comp.

That's the sad thing for me too. After the first quarter I found myself just not caring and starting to think of the other things I could be doing instead of watching. I'm guessing this is how the fair weather supporters feel and I'm not upset that i'm thinking of becoming one.

I just keep watching thinking it's going to 'click'. This is the first time ever that I'm thinking of turning off. It's so hard to watch. At least in the rebuild years you could get belted but see a work in progress or some good individual games from certain players. This is just horrendous.

Of course. But it hasn't changed. Some of Vineys kicks inside 50 last week were the worst I've ever seen from him. Worse than when he had full blown plantar fasciitis. Players who consistently do it needs to be dragged to the bench. If it continues then you tell them they will be dropped until it improves. If it doesn't get better you drop them for someone who can do it better. It's 100% in the coaches power to change but they don't and I don't know if they will. They just continue to talk about it.
