He doesn't contest the mark, just crashed into him.

And if he didn't get the head, why is Harmes off?

Crashed into him otherwise known as a collision. I didn't say anything about the head.

If you think thats reportable then maybe you should switch on the Vixens game.

  2. There was a new initiative this year which I liked from both the MCC and Melbourne which was a MFC/MCC 3 game membership for wait list candidates (which I'm unfortunately on for sometime yet).

You could use the membership to get in to any 3 home games you liked or alternatively into the MCC reserve for the 3 selected games. The dissapointing thing about this though was they sent this offer through in about April after I had already paid for Legends membership which isn't cheap.

As much as I would have like to have gotten this membership it didn't really serve any purpose on top of Legends membership, if they do decide to do this again next year it would be nice if its available at the same time as all the memberships to be able to have the option.

Knowing the equality of the competition they will get picked up by a top team like Haw & help them win maybe 5 flags in a row

For pick 25 as thats their first pick after winning another flag, academy picks and father son selections have pushed their 1st pick so far back that its more or less a second rounder.

Nasher, you're on the right track here.  I don't quite understand the hysteria around Dawes being brought in.  The fact is we have 6 weeks to determine whether to offer Dawes and Pedersen contracts next year.  Dawes is fit but out of form so he gets the first look at it.  We have looked better all year with the additional big body in the forward line, particularly with Watts needing to ruck and both he and Hogan spending not inconsiderable time in defence at the end of each quarter (or to try and get some hands on the footy in Jesse's case).  McKenzie was always going to be back in and he and McGovern are big bodies.  It was never going to be an option to throw Hulett and Weideman (more so) to the wolves.  One or other may well get a game in the twilight of the season but the imperative right now is the Dawes / Pedersen contract conundrum.

I don't see how its a conundrum. Pederesen is merely there until one of Weidaman or Hullet are ready to go and that could be next year.

But lets look at Pedersen v Dawes this year, Pedersen has been able to hit the scorecard in more than one matche including 3 in one game compared to Dawes solitary goal which was also a gimme in the goal square. Dawes cant or wont play ruck meaning Watts is being thrown in there, we didn't have that issue when Pedersen was playing.

If Pedersen is doing absoltely nothing up forward we have the option of moving him back, we cant do that with Dawes, anyone remember when he pushed back against Sydney and dropped a sitter which then scored?

Pedersen after his illness now needs to fight his way back into the side where as Dawes got his spot in the initially based on OK performance in the VFL not by knocking door down. Then he gets dropped only to sit in the coaches box for a week before being recalled.

Roos stated in his presser were likely to bring Dawes back, ANB is in the mix & Oliver likely another week in VFL.

Why the f*** would we bring Dawes back, didnt even play in the VFL last week. Would much prefer to reward Spencer & play two rucks. Allowing Watts to stay permenant forward & Gawn to play more forward aswell...

Must of had a blinder in the coaches box last week.

Didn't spill any coffee's, chased down the team sheet that got blown away by the wind, structured the magnets on the white board.

I was saying all week that this is the best chance Essendon have at another win. I rate the Saints far higher than Richmond when in-form, and the Bombers almost pipped them last week.

It would be glorious to see the Tigers twist that knife just a little deeper into supporters' hearts by losing to the Druggies.

They've got Brisbane at Etihad next week, that should be a...... ummm..... someone might win.

Just heard on Foxtel's AFL Today that Bernie Vince is suffering from a sore shin and is no certainty to play tomorrow...would this mean Stretch gets a reprieve or would Bugg or Wagner get the nod?

If he doesn't come up my guess would be Bugg as could play either as another runner or a defensive lock down role.
